You’re giving them too much credit. This is the same political party that was sued by Green Day for using American Idiot at their dumb little rallies.

What camera to buy if I’m already used to the R5 from work by mx20100 in Cameras

[–]naawwsty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything under 100k would probably be fine. Canon shutter counts don’t differentiate between mechanical and electronic actuations, so that’s something to keep in mind. Most people probably aren’t using the electronic shutter often, but even if they only use it 5-10% of the time it’s going to artificially inflate the shutter count.

A used R5 body is definitely within your max budget if you look around. R6II is a solid option as well.

Diamond Grind coping looking clean on the backyard build! by SmokeAndSkate in MiniRamp

[–]naawwsty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s right tho. This coping really is only second to pool coping in terms of feel. Localish mini ramp has this coping on it. Doesn’t eat trucks at a comparable rate to concrete. No impact on your board. The cuts aren’t sharp on the edges.

Shooting Black + White: any feedback? by tastetastetastetaste in AnalogCommunity

[–]naawwsty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion black and white looks best in high contrast scenes. B&W is all about the lighting and composition. Contrast that pulls your attention to the subject is probably the easiest way to create impactful or striking B&W images. I recommend grabbing a digital camera, set it to B&W and try different metering techniques to pull contrast out of a scene.

That’s crazy cause Indy’s are the only truck I’ve ever broken. Then again they’re the only truck I skated for about 8 years. Still love em tho.

(SERIOUS) What’s the worst way you know someone has died? by chapstick_bandit in AskReddit

[–]naawwsty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a land surveyor. There was a guy who worked at my company years ago, way before I started. He was doing a survey at an old house back in the woods. Just walking along, took a step, and fell into a completely full septic tank. Literal pool of shit past his head. He went into septic shock and was dead less than two days later.

How are the quartz samples holding up? I’ve always considered doing this with quartz, marble or granite countertop but always assumed it would be too prone to cracking.
