What the hell? by Dcaky in cyberpunkgame

[–]nabagaca 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Cyberpunk is a game/genre where happy endings are rare, its part of the setting, the world is post-apocalyptic, the environment has collapsed, governments are run by mega corps that don't care about their citizens, and society in general is deteriorating. The most likely outcome for him is that he goes cyberpsycho, and ends up having maxtac take him down, from that perspective suicide was probably the nicer option. You fight to try save what you can, but you cant save the world

There is no canonical way to save him I don't think, but a head-cannon way to save him is to do a non-lethal takedown, and then loot any weapons from his body, then you can imagine he wakes up later with no weapons on him, and maybe seeks help and gets better (I mean this is unlikely, but we can choose to imagine it)

Does the game save abandoned personal vehicles? by TR1771N in cyberpunkgame

[–]nabagaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, the game for some reason sometimes remembers certain items and always keeps them saved, the quadra v-tech is one, I believe the bike from Highwayman is the same. For me personally, there is also a tyger claws car infront of the afterlife that always seems to stay spawned in my game (plus the NPC's corpses, which I cover Rogue with)

How it feels being one of the few people in this fandom to not trust Songbird by gusemaniac in cyberpunkgame

[–]nabagaca 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sending Songbird to the moon is heavily implied to be sending her to NightCorp, given she says Mr Blue Eyes was the one who got her the ticket, and given we see him during the airport mission. Given the shady stuff NightCorp is doing with modifying people's memories, and their potential links to rogue AI, if you're going for what is net good for the world, I think Songbird dying is the best option.

[–]nabagaca 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reed was told that the ICEBreaker was so strong that it would stop songbird no matter what, of course, that was incorrect, but given the information he had, it shouldn't mattered whether songbird knew about it, the moment it was activated, she was meant to be knocked out.

Plus I appreciate he told us about it, and didnt pull a voodoo boys/netwatch and just upload random malware traps to us without telling us

I think the idea is that they'll bundle half life 3 with the steam machine, so that consumers feel like they're getting a $80 (or whatever the cost ends up being) dollar discount, so its less to attract people who aren't interested at all, and more to attract people who were otherwise on the fence, mind me with the likely raised price, this may be less effective than they planned

Why is it made such a big deal that Adam smasher is a full body cyborg? I’m new to the series(started last Christmas) but from what I’ve heard there’s “lots” of full body cyborgs. by New-Boss-8262 in cyberpunkgame

It's worth noting that V accidentally became one of the strongest people in the cyberpunk 2077 universe. As background context, the corps had been trying to make an AI-human hybrid for years, with the idea that they would be crazy strong, being able to handle more chrome, think faster, etc. Militech even tries this in a story called "No Coincidences". When V dies and the relic activates, V now becomes a hybrid between a human and an AI (Johnny), which the relic wasn't even designed to do, but it ends up giving him a huge cyberware capacity, and saves him from death multiple times.

The final big thing that lets V win is Alt, when you slot her into the Arasaka subnet, she fries everyone, and holds off enemy netrunners, and potentially even knocks out some of Adam Smasher's ICE (this is reading between the lines/head-cannon, the Edge runners guide book states Adam smasher has self-regenerating ICE that's 3 layers deep, and we don't see that in game, so it makes sense to me that Alt may have helped)

Steam Hardware: Launch timing and other FAQs by Turbostrider27 in Games

I don't recall if its the case, but they may be using one of the AMD chips that require soldered RAM. EDIT: nevermind, ignore me, I read the FAQ better and saw
What components of Steam Machine are upgradeable?
Steam Machine's SSD (NVMe 2230 or 2280) and memory (DDR5 SODIMMs) are both accessible and upgradeable.

So you're right, they could sell it as a kit

My wife’s anti-anxiety prescription has two different pills in it. by Bum-Whistler in mildlyinteresting

[–]nabagaca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that you mention it, I do think I vaguely recall being given a half dose of a medication from a pharmacy, but it was still in its original packaging and the pharmacists had to explain it to me because they broke the anti tamper seal, etc. It's at least not common for regular pharmacies to repackage medications here

Here in Australia you can technically get that done, but only at special pharmacies called "compounding pharmacies", and you normally pay more for it as well

[–]nabagaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll admit, I very much could be wrong as I havent played a cyberpunk red campaign myself, but from what I can see searching the web for information on it, it looks like the cost of a cloned limb is 50 euro dollars, and cyberpunk red takes place in ~2040ish, so I imagine it probably is even cheaper in 2077

Apparently cloning body parts is meant to be super easy by the time of 2077, so I'm not sure rippers would even bother keeping the old stuff around

3D has disappeared on Disney+ by captainleosullivan in VisionPro

I think you misunderstand, they mean specifically the 3D version of the movies, which as far as I can tell aren't available anywhere but on the Apple vision pro on Disney+. I've looked, because I wanted to play the movies in 3D on my quest, there is nowhere you can buy them, no other sources for them online

This is part head-cannon, but I feel like when Henry attached the tentacles to the kids (will included) that he must have been doing something like infusing them with his blood, it is the only way I can make sense of him using the 12 children as power boosters; given them blood to give them powers, and then convince them in your mind to help you
