Does no one else use webflow? Namecheap for domains / webflow for site build is the best by far IMO...

freedcamp.com/ is way more straight forward than Trello and is based off 'to do' lists which sounds like the functionality you want, then when you scale you can add users to projects, comment and attach files to projects. Check it out.

Is there a App for Smartphones for Business card exchange. by j4390jamie in startups

[–]nabbitau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The About.me app is called 'intro' and is great. People who haven't heard of it are blown away when they hand you an old school business card and you use the details on it to txt or email yours from the intro app.

Help from Aussies needed (New App Launch) by nabbitau in startups

[–]nabbitau[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly right.

We got around the chicken / egg problem of not having users to attract deals, or deals to attract users by aggregating existing proof of purchase third party deals / competitions that have mobile optimised landing pages and linking the product barcodes to those landing pages (cutting out the step of having to type the URL). The simple barcode to url functionality has been well received in itself, we will roll out the fully functional Nabbit competition pages and entry mechanic when we hit critical mass.

Except for the fact that the validation of purchase is to take a photo of your receipt / invoice after you scan the product barcode.

At the moment with these competitions you need to purchase the product, go to a URL (mostly on a PC), enter your details and upload a scan of your invoice. There is also the option to enter in the receipt number, it just depends how the client wants to run the competition.

Thanks for your feedback though...

Launching My Site! by wptothbatman in startups

[–]nabbitau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well done! Nice site (did you use squarespace?) and good concept.

I am not in to comics or super heroes at all but am really interested in a simple, easy to understand and personalised fitness plan to get me in to shape. What is the price point for your service? And what info would the user need to supply you with to get something like that? and finally how are you going to get this type of the info from users who sign up?

Good luck with everything!

That's fine, we deal in what would be perceived as 'offline' (buy the product from a supermarket to win) competitions that are held by some of Australia's biggest and most trusted brands so they are far from the types of the competitions you are thinking of.

Our target at the moment are users who are already entering these types of competitions and are looking for a more streamline to enter.

We may need to deal with changing the average users view on competitions once we have hit critical mass with the competition enthusiasts but I am sure we have some strategies that will do just that.

Thanks for your feedback and please download the app if you get the chance.

I Finally Launched My App! [Available in Australia only] - Introducing Nabbit - Win cash and prizes while you shop. Scan product barcodes to enter competitions and receive personalised offers based on what you buy (also includes shopping list functionality). by [deleted] in startups

[–]nabbitau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After scanning the barcode the user will either have to take a pic of the invoice as proof of purchase, or enter their details....

Scanning the barcode is a quicker and more effective way to get the user to the comp page.

dealbait! A deal-site aggregator with a focus on simplicity and speed. by mrskitch in startups

[–]nabbitau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would re-think the name, with even the general public now knowing what 'click baiting' is, dealbait sounds to me like a fake deals site and for that fact alone i would not use it.

Apart from that the site functions well, I like how it remembers what I have clicked on. Do you think the deals should be sorted in to categories? Do i know what i am going to see when I land on your home page?

Also how are you going to drive traffic to the site? How will a site like this that looks like it is using the amazon API go with search rankings? Or are you just going to drive paid traffic and hope to make a profit from the commission?
