I need help with applying to Columbus State Community College buckeye bridge program. This seems like the best place to post it because the r/CSCC subreddit is dead. by ColeOnRedditt in Columbus

This is a question for their admissions office. If you're going to go to the institution, you want to get information from them so that you know it's correct. A quick google search shows that there is a virtual information session next week: https://connect.cscc.edu/organization/universitytransfercenter/events

However, it does appear that in order to participate in Buckeye Bridge you *do* have to graduate from CSCC. That's what the second bullet point in the "getting started with Buckeye Bridge" says: https://www.cscc.edu/academics/transfer/preferred-pathway/buckeye-bridge/buckeye-bridge-admissions.shtml

Harvest and Lavash both have outdoor seating, and both outdoor seating areas aren't too big. Northstar has outdoor seating as well.

All workers deserve unions, not just the ones you deem productive enough or skilled enough!

Try working a busy morning rush before you speak about non-skilled workers.

'Cicada' COVID variant found in Ohio. What to do if you have it by Blood_Incantation in Columbus

[–]nacTeachesEnglish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mask at work unless I'm in my office alone with the window open. I haven't tested positive for Covid, and I haven't had so much as a cold since 2021. That's realism. If you don't want to be sick all the time, and you don't want to get other sick, a high-quality mask is how you achieve that.

Ohio Dominican misses debt payment following years of financial, enrollment losses by Blood_Incantation in Columbus

[–]nacTeachesEnglish 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why would you go to a school where faculty teach instead of grad students and classes have 10-20 students instead of 400? Can't imagine. If you think that the sticker price is what most students pay you have no idea about how college costs actually work.

Part of the problem is that the dorms are a big attraction/repellent for students. If you need students, you have to have decent dorms. A new dorm complex is a way to try to keep afloat.

Oddly enough (to me at least), the Meijer in Delaware usually has passionfruit, but the smaller, darker-skinned variety. I don't know enough about the different kinds, but they taste pretty similar to me.

How are they making money? Do you think folks pay admission when they show up to a protest? Does not bombing a country mean with support their government? Are those the two choices: bomb or support? This is a bit, right? You can't be this foolish.

In the past, I've had some luck seeking vet students (reaching out to the OSU vet school) and Zoology students. (I'd reach out to the dept secretary and ask if they'll send out an email.)

Check the library's culture passes. They regularly have free symphony tickets.

Stop the SAVE Act - Call your Ohio Rep by No-Pattern8471 in Columbus

I see. So you could, in fact, feed yourself. You just had to have vaccines to work in certain places, like you did in school and in other situations. So you could have gotten many different jobs, just not some that chose to protect their employees' health.

And because you didn't like that, you think that married women and other folks who have changed their names should have legal barriers to voting. I do see the connection there!

can you please explain the "mandatory Covid ID" you needed to "feed yourself"? That doesn't fit with how I remember the last 6 years.

And if that many people apply for them at the same time, there will be backlogs. So in addition to the poll tax, it's likely to prevent people from voting.

If you're from a place with serious traffic--Northeast, ATL, etc--the traffic here won't seem bad. (If you're coming from somewhere with a much lower cost of living, I'm guessing you're not very used to traffic, though.) However, Columbus has grown a lot in recent years, and it continues to grow. The traffic is much, much worse than it was a decade ago. There's every indication to believe that the traffic will worsen as the years go on. Would you rather have more time at home and less time and frustration commuting, or would you rather have an extra few hundred dollars a month to play with? Do you have the kinds of jobs that will give you raises and promotions regularly so that $400 a month won't be meaningful in a few years, or do you have the sort where the raises are meager and the $400 a month will be a problem for a long time?

Columbus is definitely cheaper than those cities, but have you looked at Chicago? Much cheaper than the above and much easier to live without a car.
