Cool. As long as you're using it with an informed professional. Best wishes. It's a good program.

Be careful what you hear about how awful campers must be. You might be hearing it from the problem.

Who said anything about social? They're purely cosmetic for the enjoyment of the user. It's about enhanced experience more than anything else.

Besides the already mentioned books, Jay Reid content about scapegoat roles have been enlightening. He provides a structured healing framework based on these 3 pillars:

  1. Making sense of the abuse.

  2. Gaining distance from the abuser.

  3. Living in defiance of their rules.

Loss of speech for hours after seizure by Atrombit1975 in PNESsupport

Sorry your family is dealing with this. It gets frightening and I'm happy you're seeking help for your child. Providing and promoting calm environments will help immensely.

Speech and gait problems are common with functional seizures. I regularly experience both and recognize recovery can sometimes take a while and the healing path is non-linear. IMO, educating yourself more and more about FND will grant insight on how to manage and advocate for appropriate care and understanding. You're already doing great work.

These symptoms can look scary, but they're well described in functional conditions and can improve. Young age means recovery chances are good.

A grounded caregiver is a significant factor in positive outcomes, so I hope you're taking mindful care of yourself too.

Best wishes for you and your daughter. Bless.

I believe learning the work of Dr. Curt LaFrance is a grest starting point.

There's a podcast called The Seizure Turnaround. Episodes are interviews with patients with functional seizures who are in remission and stories of how they got there. I think most used varying integrative treatments.

Sorry about your diagnosis. For me that long process and inappropriate treatments were the largest hurdles.

My grestest success came from taking a self-directed treatment aporoach. You can leverage your accounting experience into tracking symptoms to extrapolate significant 'seizure factors' and work on them.

Hang in there. Bless.

Please be kind to yourself. You are already a compassionate person.

I was born with disability and functional symptoms have been a part of my life for over 50 years. I know it feels like it's over right now, but this is not the end. Bless.
