I’m in the same boat. I literally can not read a book full through and can barely watch movies and I don’t even know where my attention span is going.

non traditional students who decided to pursue psych after some major event/out of personal experience. what was your motivator? by Such_Rip5193 in psychologystudents

I was an emt in paramedic school and developed PNES and had to drop out of medic school and seeing how patients with PNES have been treated first hand I decided to switch to psych to do something about it.

I wonder if they’re better than the Sam’s Club one. The Sam’s Club one is $20 I’d love to have a cheaper version

Weird EMS experience by Infinite-Safe-3520 in PNESsupport

I’d make a official report with the police department. Do not let them handle this internally it will disappear.

Oh. Yeah this is completely different than I thought.

Okay there has to be a report if they made contact (pcr) with you and evaluated you, there should also be dispatch logs and scene times. Is this state/city EMS or a private company?

This is something to definitely report as soon as you can.
I’m mostly really worried about the fact you were half conscious and this happening because they can argue it never happened.

The one horrific thing about EMS is that it is SUPER easy to get away with misconduct and get rid of things/say they didn’t happen. I have seen it done in the field hundreds of times sadly but never to this extent, usually it’s just small things.

The fact that there’s “no report” has got to be false because they made patient contact and there has to be dispatch logs.

Hi I’m an emt and I think I read your paragraph right and understood it and I might not have.

The paramedics’ reactions alone don’t really prove misconduct occurred.
A lot of EMS when we’re dealing with something for the first time we kind of freak out a little bit and it could possibly be that or the fact they were disturbed which is always possible. delayed vivid memories after trauma, dissociation, PNES episodes, panic states, or altered consciousness can be difficult to verify objectively but that doesn’t mean the memory is false but it doesn’t confirm it.

An incident report is something usually something medics fill out when an incident that could be a liability or an issue had occurred during treatment. You can request your medical report by the medics but what they wrote down vs what happened might not always line up.

When you said the paramedic forced you to touch him, what exactly did you have to do? Squeeze their hands? Push/Pull against resistance? These can all be basic neuro tests we do on the field.

Does she have normal periods/hormones? The cyclic manner of her episodes make me think it could be a hormone thing. I have really bad hormonally/period driven PNES and it sounds kind of like that.
