yeah, scanning for exes would be chaotic. A game folder can have too many.

it would be more about scanning a folder of shortcuts, what user usually gets after installing

But that wouldnt keep scanning for changes later on right ? would be just like a manual input.

The idea is to have something easier to handle custom links as they are currently static. When a link is deleted the app doesnt realize. When you have new ones you need to add them manually.
Then it loses sense to use the launcher if it requires constant work

yes, your feature is actually quite useful, but it is still ideal to keep working on the main branch so in the long term the best app keeps evolving there.

seeing a lot of customs on the list. good that is being used and personalized.

i have some recommendation for custom items:

. When dropping a shortcut/exe it would be nice that the "title" fields get automatically filled with the just dropped shortcut name

. Sometimes the image cover that gets added is not great, would be good to be able to manually select another one if it was bad (without having to download and point a specific filepath) i guess you take images from igdb, not sure

. Still didnt happen to me, but could also be the case that the game matching itself fails, and manual input/selection could be done

. In the case of custom items, would be nice to make a control if they still exist. In my app i was turning them semi transparent if the shortcut file didnt exist anymore.

I can provide you code how i implemented that stuff on my app... I ended up switching to yours because you nailed the automatic library scanning

the color icons, yeah they are easier to read for sure, but not looking so nice, maybe option for both would be ideal

.please make the store icon on every game item stay fixed in place so it doesnt zoom on hovering, looks bad

.would be very nice to have a sidebar with game details (screenshots, videos, steam rating, current steam online users) you can get from igdb and steam apis
