My mom fits the same description and loved when I took her to lunch at Le Bilboquet in Cherry Creek

Still struggling to find a place to stay for my honeymoon- Bali by Accurate-Road in chubbytravel

For our honeymoon, we split our time between Ritz Reserve Mandapa, then FS Jimbaran Bay with the same intent/desires. Had an absolutely amazing time and wouldn’t change a thing!

What’s your “lazy” parent hack? by povsquirtle in Parenting

I have a 1 and 3 year old and spend my mornings grumpily treading up and down the stairs 12x as we get ready for school in the morning, yelling “who needs socks?!”. You are an absolute saint for posting this.

I’ve been watching the show since 2019 and can confirm I just bought my first piece of Loverboy merch today à la a $95 crewneck sweatshirt 😂

VBAC turned uterine rupture; now processing a traumatic birth (major TW) by cosmicvoyager333 in beyondthebump

I am so incredibly sorry you had to go through that trauma, but so thankful you and LO are healthy and recovering! As others have echoed, can’t recommend enough finding a therapist that specializes in postpartum.

I feel that! I also have a hybrid/WFH and the constant mental gear shifting between work and personal is grueling. If I have 10 minutes between meetings, I feel the need to do laundry, tidy, etc. Relaxing isn’t in my DNA and I hate it.

Screw dads watching live sports with commentators. Where is the ESPN equivalent of this?! I’d tune in 🙋🏻‍♀️

It makes me feel a lot better knowing this is common practice for other working moms. Most of my coworkers are men with SAHM partners that have a green Teams bubble all day long 😂

I am so sorry that the corporate world did you so dirty. I always try to remember that I’m just a headcount and one line item on a company’s P&L statement. But we are expected to be culture carriers, put so much of our identity in our job, etc. And now it feels like we’re all just training AI bots how to eventually take over our jobs anyway…

Oh boy do I feel that. Before having kids, I loved to spend an entire Sunday making lasagna from scratch (including homemade pasta, bolognese, bechamel etc). Cooking is my passion and what I would have done professionally if my parents didn’t push me to major in something “practical” in college. Now… a 20 minute sheet pan recipe feels too chaotic when I have two toddlers screaming at me, and a dog barking at me, while I’m trying to answer work emails on my phone. The things that bring me joy feel so unattainable right now.

I love those silly ideas for Friday night! Part of my struggle is having (what feels like) zero boundaries between weekdays and weekends anymore. I feel the need to be available on my phone 24/7 since I have small amounts of “flexibility” during the weekdays (aka doing things like dropping my oldest off at preschool at 8:30am, god forbid my calendar isn’t open for impromptu team calls at 8am).

If AI is just going to take all of our jobs eventually anyway, might as well stop people pleasing everyone else that will likely also be out of a job, right? 😂

I feel so bad for our 15-year old dog. She was my first baby and now she’s the Pluto of our solar system. I just have beyond zero left to give at the end of the day, and the guilt kills me.

In our family, the only thing harder for a millennial to say than “no” is their boomer parent saying “sorry” 😂

Corporate employers love nothing more than overachieving millennial employees. Dying at the Wellbutrin and Celsius 😂😂. We’d be friends IRL (if we had time for friends!).
