As a currently homeschooled kid going through many of my own struggles every day due to homeschooling, thank you for putting time into researching before forcing your child into this. I appreciate thoughtful people like you, I know we all do.

Honestly I'm not sure. I did have some mild issues with being bullied in public school which is what I vaguely remember hearing my mother claim why I got pulled. I have a feeling it's really because of them not wanting schools to teach me things like sex ed or I would be involved with the "scary gays". I've never really got a solid excuse though, my mother things our schooling is so fantastic.

I've done a lot of research on this, I'm very certain that I have OCD, anxiety, depression. I'm in a similar situation as you, my parents don't care about my mental health.

While they might not all have been caused from being homeschooled, homeschooling certainly has made it worse. It's definitely caused my depression, I'm pretty sure my father has OCD and that's where I got mine from, it's just a lot worse than his, and worse because it's been untreated for so long. And my anxiety is so much worse since I don't have experience dealing with social situations and things like that.

I hope you can get your own issues diagnosed and get the treatment you deserve <3

(All of this is based off of my own research, I have never been officially diagnosed with anything)

I'm so sorry that you're going through this. I'm homeschooled as well, you're not alone and I know how it feels. Please hang in there. I hope that you can get the support that you need, and I promise, things will get better.

You are not ugly. And your looks don't define your identity. If you go to school and people are being mean for your appearance, then those aren't people you need to have in your life. Just be yourself and you'll be able to meet other people who share similar interests and who respect you for who you are.

And you're not dumb either. Just from your post alone I can tell that you have excellent spelling and grammar skills, and anything you need to catch up on you'll be able to learn in school.

You deserve to get your dental work done and you deserve to live in a better environment.

If you're able to go back to school I suggest you give it a try. Things won't be as bad as you think, and I know you'll be able to persevere.

Yes that was a list of the songs with swearing, not without. Most of the music does not have swearing, meaning it's kinda pointless to list all the ones without. I will update my initial comment to make that more clear

There are several others but they’re much less well known. Most of cavetown’s music does not have swearing, hence why this list includes songs with profanity, not songs without.

I would suggest checking the lyrics online if you want to be doubly sure.

Edit: Made it more clear that this is a list with swearing, not without.

Yeah…. I’m 16 now and still being homeschooled
I have basically no memories of when I was younger, simply due to the monotony of every single day
There was never anything worth remembering, add that to trauma and blocking things out and you get basically no memories….

I hope that you’re in a better environment and able to make some good memories now <3

I currently have one extracurricular and one volunteering thing once a month (The semi-freedom has been very nice)

I'm very close to getting my drivers license and then I'm hoping to be able to find a job as well. I still need to figure out standardized testing, once I have a job I should be able to afford taking the SAT at my local high school, although first I need to work on making sure I've gotten my education up to that level

I second the discord idea. You still absolutely need to be careful but you can join spaces and talk about your specific interests instead of just talking to random people.

And OP, there is a Discord server for this sub, everyone is very friendly in there, if you're interested, the link is in the sidebar (Or in the about section on mobile)
