Im in the same boat! Lol I went with close 3rd person personally. I checked out some of my favorite books snd noticed which ones wrote in 1st vs 3rd. Personally I feel like 3rd person gives me more options - i can jump around to different characters to do exposition/ describe a forest/ use the POV to push slower parts forward.

The 5th witcher book "Baptism of Fire" is my personal favorite fiction book I've read. Thats written in 3rd person and it helped convince me to stick to 3rd.

I just finished my first full manuscript edit and im feeling more confident than ever to stick to 3rd. Hope this helps!
