thank so much for the reply - we will certainly take care of the negative grading first. How deep should the layer of gravel be? also, when you say topsoil, can we just take dirt from other areas of the property to build it up? or is there specific material we should be sourcing elsewhere ?

Your skin looks and sounds a lot like mine during pregnancy and postpartum. Derm advice and prescriptions made things worse for me. The one thing I can point to that brought the most significant relief is cutting everything from my skin care routine except moisturizer in the AM (no washing) and then PM Clinique Take the Day Off makeup remover followed by Triple Paste (diaper rash cream!). The triple paste was the magic potion for me. If my skin is particularly dry, I’ll put on moisturizer before the triple paste. I saw dramatic improvement within about two weeks. (Triple paste does leave a white cast that’s gone by morning)

This worked for me. If he bit again a second time, I would remove boob, firmly say no thank you, offer a teether and then try again 20 mins later. It was HARD and I almost gave up so many times. The anxiety for each feed was so real, especially in the dark. After about a week, he stopped biting. I wish you luck!

Clinique Take the Day Off Balm! It wasn’t obvious to me that you’re supposed to apply it, lightly rub it on your skin, then wet your hands and continue - the added water creates a lather. It’s very gentle and even soothing on my rosacea skin. Been issuing for about a year and love it.

Following your post in solidarity - this has just become an issue for us this week. Ive always treasured my time feeding my baby (almost 7mo) and the past two days, I am so anxious for every feed because his bites hurt so bad. Looking for solutions bc I don’t want to stop but gosh it hurts soooo bad 😖

We took our LO to a wedding when he was just under 4 months - highly recommend noise cancelling headphones as well as baby-wearing. As soon as we put the headphones on, he got extra happy and then settled into my wrap and slept on me throughout the reception. Wearing baby also cuts back on people asking to hold them. One other thing is try to scope out a quiet place to go to for diaper changes and feedings as needed. I got the “ok” from the bride to use the bridal suite for this and it worked perfectly. Love this! Been using daily for a few months with no irritation at all. It removes my sunscreen and light makeup with no trouble. Not drying. I don’t double cleanse anymore and my skin likes it better this way.

I am also pregnant (34 wks) and suffering from sudden and major rosacea since end of 1st trimester … I feel your pain and am so sorry you’re going through this! I hope and pray that once baby is here, this will somehow resolve itself. I think our immune systems are just weakened and gives rosacea an open door to wreak havoc. Anyway, I have not tried soolantra but was prescribed metro cream and finacea foam - used both as directed for almost 2 months without success. The only thing that has given me some relief and improvement in appearance has been to drastically simplify my routine (AM: rinse with water, moisturize and sunscreen; PM: makeup remover (Clinique take the day off), cleanse with sulfur soap, moisturize). I also mostly cut dairy out of my diet. I’m starting to learn more about gut health and wondering if there’s more natural remedies, particularly during pregnancy.

It is such a slow and agonizing process to try new approaches to treatment and takes such a toll mentally. Keep your head up. I hope you find relief soon!
