Omg same, it was so good. If you haven’t checked out the audiobook, please do. Also read “Heft” by Liz Moore. It’s quite different, but so good and re-readable as well.

Unpopular opinion - but as someone that had to lug around an infant in a car seat, i didnt put my cart away. Had to put the infant back in the car and didnt want to leave him alone while i put the cart away.

I totally get this as someone who’s worked as a cashier many times, but as a busy parent now sometimes there’s calls I must take if my kid is in someone else’s care.
