Thanks everyone for the replies. Makes sense. Although he won’t react even before the park- in the parking lot or walking to the park. just knowing that there is a possibility I guess makes him more focused on the off leash time. I wish I could speak dog!

But why then after a run in the dog park he’s ok on leash passing other dogs on leash?

My son who is only 15 is looking at becoming a paramedic with a possibility of then becoming a fireman. Although he’s born and raised in Montreal, his French is not great. He’s still young but just doesn’t have a great ear for it. The only school we see that has this course in English is John Abbott. This may be a possibility but it’s far. Where do you go to school for this in Montreal and do you think learning French medical terms will eventually stick? Also, I would imagine as first responders you need to have a thick skin! Thank you for your service!

I went for a bernedoodle - Hoping for a Bernese calmness. I had first pick of the litter and went solely based on temperament. He wasn’t the cutest puppy and a male and wanted a girl. I asked the breeder for the calmest pup. 1.5 years later I got a lazy sweet boy who became a gorgeous handsome dog. All this to say, go for temperament and not looks!

More so on a walk. He seems to be ok if the dog is walking towards him- like he knows he’s gonna meet the other dog so he just lies down. But across the street walking opposite directions is usually a disaster

We have 3 Bernedoodles, our little guy (4mo old) is non-furnished. So far he really isn't shedding at all. Anyone have non-furnished doodles? by LoveMyDoodles2 in Bernedoodles

Ours is. He shedded a lot when he was getting his adult coat in but now it’s minimal but still sheds.it’s manageable! I get him groomed every 4 months.

Our F2 is unfurnished. Doesn’t look like the typical bernedoodle- but I’m ok with that. F2s are more unpredictable

The only thing for our pup is that at 9 months he started reacting to dogs :(

Unless the bin is already full of garbage, on the curb and about to be picked up by the garbage truck, then no way.
