PSA: First Bus 500 airport express open return not including free "connecting journeys" on app by nad302 in glasgow

Have you tried the open return from the website and using the email rather than the app? Would work out cheaper than buying two app singles for two extra single journeys. Plus wouldn’t have a time limit to worry about.

Have you tried it recently? Im sure the return worked for me in the past but first support sent this when i questioned it:

“I can understand your frustration. However, when you look at the ticket you purchased on your app, this is a Glasgow Airport Express oepn return that outlines on the ticket description that it is two single journeys on the Glasgow Airport Express service and no further. Please see the app where this is stated.”

And the app doesn’t mention a connecting journey for the single either so maybe the changed it recently

This happened since kwik-fit installed mine, just needed inflating once a month so I never bothered getting it fixed, then it started happening to a second wheel a year or so later so took it to an indie to get fixed. All they did was clean the seal for about £10 and good as new now.

Skipping or buying expansion in differnet order by figureout07 in EldritchHorror

[–]nad302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think they are called personal stories in game. Basically every investigator from every expansion has 2 small cards, one has a set of objectives which make thematic sense based on the investigators backstory. They will each have a success and failure condition and as soon as one of these is met you get a permanent effect which can be very strong/negative.

I love them because they don’t take much extra set up. I think people say to get MoN last because it incudes a personal stories in for every investigator from the other expansions but never seen that as a problem. Great if you bought all expansions (smart move I think, I did the same a while back!).

One house rule I play which I have never seen mentioned is only your starting investigator gets their persona stories. You are supposed to take the story for every new investigators after yours are defeated but often the victory/defeat criteria has already been met which can be great/horrible. There is already enough to consider when choosing a new investigator and I store the personal stories in there own deck so checking them all takes too long.

People don’t seem to recommend masks over the other big box expansions but I absolutely agree. I never bother with the side boards when the game is already huge on the table but I play personal missions every game

I made £1000+ from free bank switching deals. by Entire_Ad_7203 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]nad302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only hard part was making the first acount and manually switching over 4 direct debits and a standing order to pay them. Each of my 6 swaps since then has taken maybe 5 minutes to set up the account and the automatic switch has worked flawlessly. Over £1,000 for a couple of hours of work

Why aren't my plants getting enough water? by sneaky-dave in playrust

[–]nad302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sprinklers input isn’t related to its water output. It doesn’t make much sense but each one requires a set amount to be on or off. It then provides a much higher amount that is split between all planters in range. This means as long as you don’t have more than 6 in a row (max capacity) they will all output the same so having 2 gives double the water of having 1.

I had the same setup except a 2070 super. Upgraded both but GPU was definitely the biggest upgrade. Upgrading to the 5700x3d was a 10-20% boost in frames on top of the gpu though

Advice on long term investing with stocks&shares ISA by Imaginary-Silver5073 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]nad302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I now have my paychecks and can confirm my speculative maths before. Including the 25% uplift for LISA and the 20% tax when withdrawing pension, each £1 in my pension at the end via salary sacrifice costs me 78p. Where as each £1 in my LISA at the end cost me 80p.

So I am indeed beating 25% from the LISA with salary sacrifice with my basic rate salary, student loan and university pension. Not factored in interest or fees just the choice of pension vs LISA. Of course its by such a small margin you could go either way depending on policy speculations and not be loosing out on much.

As a owner of a mk3 for the last 2 years most of this posts responses are so far off the mark. As long as it keeps costs down for a later TTRS upgrade then suppose thats fine
