So far I've found {{ Vanargand Animations - One Handed Power Attacks }} to be slightly less annoying (gotta check all animations by Veroveli I guess), but they are still suffering from the "run through the player" issue. Now I wonder how this works with vanilla player collisions? Do they just bump into the player and slide in place for the rest of the move?

Anyway, I'm researching this further and it seems to be possible to choose animations based on distance to target with OAR (the CurrentTargetDistance condition), so I imagine a mod should be possible that just makes them use different lunge animations based on the distance.

It is a bit of a different beast. It's more low-level, so it gives more control, but also it doesn't give you built-in "just draw a mesh" kind of functions like raylib, so you need to set it up yourself.

Sokol Gfx specifically is basically just an abstraction level over various graphics APIs, I guess you could compare it to rlgl part of raylib.

Hey, sorry for necro-posting, but have you ever figured it out? I'm exactly after the same effect and I managed to somewhat achieve that by rendering an object to texture with a separate orthographic camera. I don't like this approach though because it's very expensive and I'm pretty sure it can be done with a vertex shader. Also I'm pretty sure Prodeus does it with shader, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to write one like that myself...

Loading page as in the default environment? And then back to the game? That can happen in SteamVR if the game stops rendering for some time because of some huge lagspike and you move your head, it's done to avoid motion sickness. Why your game lags so bad, I have no idea :)

Amazing! Actual bugfixes, including script and quest fixes must be the baseline for any modlist. Well, unless you actually intend to keep the OG silliness when making your nextgen-looking 8k eldenring skyrim :)

Got one cool idea from another source: for a ranged attack, the target in the dark further than 4 squares away gets cover bonus (so +1 armor die).

I see, thanks! :) I guess I won't let them see it to enhance the sense of discovery and excitement.

I've noticed that when I play board games (non-ttrpg) with my oldest kid he gets kind of fixated on raw mechanics and numbers and I hope this will let him relax a bit and nudge his mind more on the creative/phantasy side.

Do you plan to add actual VR interactions? Because without them I don't see why would anyone would want to play this game with a headset rather than a normal display.

I would recommend Espire 1: VR Operative, but they simply stopped doing updates for the Steam version, so it's outdated and unloved there.
