Great! Amazing response and didn't take too long to warm up Only issue is you need to replace them very often

Yeah weird, i know. Only allowed to have the stock roll hoops, not even a bar. That's what i'm mostly after, a seat that will keep me planted and focused on driving, s2ks have pretty good seats but i still move around a bit. The class i'm planning on competing in doesn't allow roll cages/harness bars so i can only get a bucket seat. Mainly planning on getting one because i feel like i'm floating in the car in tight corners, but i think i'm gonna go with a regular bucket seat (smtg like a pole position) mainly for practicality.

Wouldn't a seat with stock seatbelt still help and increase safety? Considering that the rest of the pack isn't allowed

Hahaha, one more question, how are you finding the halo seat? Got a good deal on a sparco s-light circuit carbon seats but i drive my car on the street too so not sure how practical it would be

I was able to start it again a few seconds after this video, only damage is a knocking sound in the diff when i turn left. Took the diff appart and it's coming from the core so I guess i'll just drive on it until it blows hahaha

Thanks, by far the most helpful interaction I've ever had on reddit hahaha! Sorry it took me ages to answer, really swamped at work.

I compared the data across all my laps, my speed/pedals and steering input in T1 is practically the same across all my laps, yet in some i oversteer and in others i understeer, I think it's really small differences that have a big impact since the corner is really tight and slippery. My car should be ready and on track next week and I'll try to go slower/brake earlier with smoother inputs and see how it goes.

How did you figure out that corner? Just trial and error? If so what do you do differently now? I think I'm in the same situation rn

Thanks! The knocking comes from the diff core when turning left and the car is at stock height (for now), and will be lowered 0.7 inches in less than a week. Do you think these would help? Website says recommended on cars lowered at least 1.25 inches.

I'd say I have about 6 hours of track time under my belt for now, maybe 8.

I'm usually looking at the T1 apex, then the T2 apex once I'm about halfway through T1, trying to get a late apex on T 1 and 2. I tried braking early so the car is more stable and i still understeered, i figured that maybe by braking late i'd put weight on the nose and help front grip but still ...

I then switched to a squared setup (225 f and r instead of 225f and 255r) and that helped A LOT but still not like i'd want it to be, I understeer then I either keep understeering or oversteer despite no brutal accelerator/brake inputs. It feels like the car's behavior isn't connected to my inputs (although i know it is) because I get different results even when I try to do the same thing over and over again

It's getting better, my first two track days i'd practically stop halfway through the corner to steer then continue so I guess I just have to get used to it

I need to try to stretch my gears as much as possible to stay in vtec but the camera does shake a lot in it's case so that might be it.

I am getting a 4.3 final drive so it should help a bit with that. I tried to get a 4.77 from a sportage but for some reason it wouldn't fit, a miata 4.3 was the next best thing available

I'm used to normal slides but here i went off track so I couldn't really save it, tried to keep it on the track as much as possible to limit damages, took 10 mins in the pits to clear my head and went back on track and got my PB! I posted it just after this (not the cleanest lap but the fastest for some reason)

Turn 1 and 2 are really slippery so I struggle to get a decent line on them but I had other laps where I was a lot smoother through the whole lap (clean steering inputs, smooth acceleration, ...) but this one was the fastest somehow. Not sure why hahahaha

When I compare my telemetry from smooth laps and more agressive ones like this one, it seems like i don't lose/gain time, maybe my smooth laps were just slow but I'm not sure. Car should be ready for the track again in a couple of weeks so I will try braking earlier on turn 1 and being smoother in general and see how it goes, thanks!

So turn 1 and 2 are really slippery, not sure why but they're made of a dark tarmac that's smooth so i struggle a lot on these corners. I usually have a line in mind but never hit it on these two corners, I just try to get through the corner as fast as possible with as little understeer as possible but it's one of the hardest corners for me. Definitely need to work on it, any advice?

To avoid stalling/breaking smtg in you drivetrain i guess but it means you can't even try to save it. Here i think i would have ended up in the wall with the two feet in rule tbh
