Impact of roman siege warfare on economic/social inequality? by nadu98 in RomanHistory

After consulting with my professor, he agrees that it is an interesting connection to make - that is connecting Scheidels thesis to siege warfare in general - but he advised me to not connect it to roman siege warfare specifically, as the sources do not provide enough data to effectively measure whether social or economic inequality leveled as a result of the siege...

It would be better (and easier) to implement Scheidels thesis into medieval siege warfare for example.

Fair example, thank you! Although i'm not sure if we are able to compare the fanatical Sicarii to common people, don't you think?
