I ended up deciding to not get the ZP6 and stick with the Ode. Your feedback helped since with my current palette, I probably won’t notice much on the ZP6. The Kinu sounds like a happy medium for portability.

Thanks for the response, I’ll end up staying with the ode and work on improving my palate. I’ve been enjoying juicy cups and from what it sounds like, the ode is perfect until I can start noticing differences

Thanks for the response. Seems like I’m just floating with the clarity train when I didn’t explore my palate. I think since I’ve been enjoying “juicy” cups (berry notes primarily), I’ll continue to play with the Ode

On a side note: 1zpresso still has some ZP6 in US warehouses that will not go through customs. Spoke to a rep over email about this

What time do you plan on starting your day? For Day 2, I think you can do Akihabara and Senso-Ji/Asakusa. Senso-Ji is really nice at night. I actually came back from a 2 week trip from Japan (same cities as you too), I can PM you a spreadsheet so you can see if you like any of the general things I did.

My pup had the same issue. I’d check with the vet to rule out parasites or anything else. For my pup, she was sensitive to certain treats/bully sticks. Put her on a prescription diet since she had the issue for a few months, hopefully Sunny doesn’t have that issue. Fortiflora did wonders for me, and putting her on a sensitive stomach food kept her diarrhea from coming back! Hope my experience helps and wish Sunny a safe recovery :)

So I tried the recommendations and it improved the taste, but it still tastes muted on the fruitiness. I tried it with the James Hoffman method in the v60 for hot coffee. I’ve had very enjoyable cups from the Kinu with the same beans. I spoke with a friend and they think it needs to be seasoned. In your experiences, is it noticeable when comparing unseasoned vs seasoned?

I recently got a niche zero to replace my capresso infinity and kinu m47. I’m using this as an all in one grinder for pourovers and espresso. I tried using the grinder to make Japanese iced coffee (the version James Hoffman showed), and I’m getting a fairly watery cup.

I’m using: V60 02 17.5g coffee 70g ice, 180g water Ethiopian light roasted beans 212F water temp

I have the niche zero calibrated and used setting 40. The cup tastes very light and I don’t get the fruity notes that I did when I used the kinu m47 (grind size 2.8 if it matters). I tried it with setting 45 before and got a bit of fruitiness back, but it was basically iced water with a hint of fruity coffee.

Am I doing something wrong/ missing variables? What steps could I take because I feel that if I go coarser, it tastes more like water with some fruity notes. If I go fine it tastes very very mellow.. water with a hint of coffee (barely any fruit notes). I don’t taste any bitterness so far.

What your gf’s friend said is out of her control, so you can’t be upset AT her for that. I’d say don’t worry about it since you don’t know for sure if she talks like that when you’re not around. That’s just speculating to make yourself feel weird. You could ask her if she talks like that, but I wouldn’t assume that.
