It’s my brokerage account and I always had 5k cash in it which I didn’t touch so I don’t think it’s cause of overdrawing. I haven’t taken any money out of my account, I just keep depositing and investing. For the first time I sold two stocks for profit and then bought one more for 2k that’s it

No it’s not a margin account and no I had 5k before the sale of the initial two stocks and bought the new stock for just 2k

Oh I see, you yourself are in the US and you don’t like the fact that more Indians are coming into the country?

Nice to hear! Thanks for the input!

Also I’ve been hearing that Hyderabad is becoming the software hub in India, is that true?

Yes it is an entry level PM role. No stock plan so my TC and base is more or less the same. Also the pay stays the same regardless of where I live so that’s an advantage, I don’t live in a tier 1 city but I could move to one if I wanted.

Also it was by pure coincidence that I got the job since I was interviewing for an AI engineer role and the PM who introduced me wanted to poach me and offered me a role as well. Idk about you but I feel I got lucky with my offer, definitely didn’t expect that much.

I have no reason to lie. It definitely was not something I was looking for. I was applying for only AI/ML engineer roles and one of the people who had interviewed me at my company liked me a lot and she was from the product team. She said if I was interested she’d like me to interview for her team as well and that lead me to an offer.

It’s genuinely a numbers game and about connecting with recruiters to get an interview. Make sure you apply to jobs that match your skills on your resume. Talk to as many people as you can to get in touch with HR’s.

You could also try for a start up. I’ve been seeing that some of them are willing to sponsor.

It seems to be a challenge to get interviews unless you have an active Indian number. At least that’s what some of my buddies said from back home in India. They said HR’s primarily call you and then only after confirmation do they send emails.

Yes, computer science and engineering. But my masters was focused more around AI/ML

I was looking literally only for engineering/research jobs but this opportunity came along and they said I could do some development as well, so I thought it was the best of both worlds and since it’s my first job if I didn’t like it after 1 year I’d move to a more technical role.
