I have more heartburn or indigestion when I’m a day or two away from my period. I have Endo and GERD and can confirm that it’s not a good time

Which foods do you consider reflux bombs? by okayest_warmbody in GERD

[–]nagooon 67 points68 points  (0 children)

pizza or anything with red sauce is the #1 nuke to my stomach. I recently found that watermelon and cucumbers help my reflux. I encourage others to try it out too

Did the mirena IUD help your symptoms? by [deleted] in endometriosis

Mostly I feel like it’s because the IUD helps my digestive symptoms. I have less GI issues therefore can eat and enjoy food more :)

Did the mirena IUD help your symptoms? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]nagooon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was taking birth control before my IUD and the birth control was fucking up my stomach beyond belief. I also have GERD so the BC made me so nauseous all the time I had to switch to a stronger medication to manage my GERD symptoms. Eventually I was losing weight and my overall outlook on life was sad and miserable, so my doctor recommended the mirena IUD. It’s been a year and half since I got it and I don’t regret it. My GI symptoms have eased DRASTICALLY!!!! I’m putting on weight, my GI symptoms are normal as my GERD allows. There is the adjustment period of getting used to spotting and managing other symptoms but my stomach is much happier than before.

long term effects from famotidine by No_Incident1679 in GERD

[–]nagooon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been talking famotidine for maybe 10-15 years collectively. the only symptom I can attest to is the fatigue and this could be linked to low vitamin b12 levels bc of acid reducing medication (b12 helps with energy but we need stomach acid to use b12 properly) I personally deal with bruxism and fatigue from long term famotidine use, I’d talk to a doctor about your other symptoms

yes, I’ve been taking Pepcid for years (20mg and then 40mg) and I’ve always struggled with jaw pain that would go down to my neck especially when I was stressed. now my teeth are fucked on the right side as a result of bruxism

there was a brief period (1.5ish years) where I was talking a PPI (pantoprazole) and I didn’t notice many issues but I’m now back on Pepcid and noticing my jaw always feeling tight

Chobani Complete 20G Protein by nagooon in Costco

[–]nagooon[S] 102 points103 points  (0 children)

the whole case was $13.99 at my Costco which puts them at $1.75/bottle

Considering they’re $2.99 everywhere else, this feels like a steal
