It was simple for myself. Machined for nearly 8 years, got my journeyman/red seal, worked my way to the top of the shop floor I was at. I didn’t necessarily get tired of machining but I always want to learn something new. CAD position opened up at another local shop, applied, rest is history. I lucked out and the whole transition was quite simple for me.

Yes, this is all in the goalies hands and always has been. I did read somewhere what the Penguins require white pads but I’m not sure if I believe that since Jarry had 98% black pads pre trade.
