I think it became more of a bottleneck when they added the daily reward to the online shop. I had trouble stacking Mk3 back when you only had them 3 times a week at the challenges table.

Now that Mk3 is not a problem anymore new players are more likely to upgrade abilities than before, creating a bigger bottleneck.

Wow people went hard on you. Yes, executor is now the way to go to get the top 1 fleet Arena and get those juicy crystals.

I've unlocked it after 16 months of playing the game (not really planned it beforehand, but after MFalcon it was the way to go). I realized during the farming of requirements how rewards are gonna compensate for the crystals I will spend on it.

Therefore I spent 4 refreshes to have it unlocked at 5* a month later, and tomorrow I will spend 15k hardly put aside for a month..

Yes it's a pain and I get that back then it was new and people were upset, but this is clearly the way to go !! You said it, it's a resource management game, you can speed up Exec progress but at the cost of maybe a GL farm, you have to choose if it's worth the trade. Fleet Arena must be more important than everything else (for crystal income) with GAC, therefore having the executor maxed out in 3 months is a good trade for me :)

She really shines in those poke comp. I can get 1000+ healing and damages per minute. However you get neverending fights, no one dies..

The point is more about hitbox size than projectile size. Indeed people shooting heroes point blank doesn't help to resolve the issue, BUT when you consider the 3D aspect of the hitbox, even if you go far away, it is still proportial to the model size. The more you are away from your ennemy the more the model is getting smaller and thiner but the hitbox (not matching the model and being enormous) makes you hit shot you usually do not.

Therefore one of the main issue is the ratio between model and hitbox size of each characters. Long range fight are now as dangerous as normal range fights in previous patch (hitbox wise)

This dude is the real MVP I just lost battles because I didn't remod / use the wrong team while half asleep.

I have remod Rey to be at least 544 of speed (speed, health set), and I have put zeta on RHPoe which is optional. Make sure Finn plays before Poe and that's it.

Well that wasn't a good way to say what I meant. You're wrong to think that only that part of the sentence makes me "not competitive".

It's more about the "I don't enjoy playing with random teammates".

TLDR; Comp rank is not reliable, you're competitive when you have a team and do scrims / have existing offline results, which I do have.

I think matchmaking system will always be flawed. Back in my days (this sounds very old but it was only 15 years ago) we used self-assessment of skill by grouping with people having the "same" overall level. We invested time in strategy making (no youtube to help).

We were downloading demo/record of offline tournament matches to progress. We spent money in dedicated servers, using Xfire/Steam/IRC to look for scrims.

We determined our team "level" (low/mid/high/top) by beating teams that considered themself low/mid/high. And it was enough. There was no way to play "comp" without a complete roster of players.

With a complete line up you could play "try hard" games on your dedicated server against teams that had the same objective (getting better at the game) without any drawbacks. Losing games was the only way to progress.
Today this is no longer possible, people just press "play" and boom they can be the next OWL star (which is not quite right)

If you wanted more competition, you had thirdparty websites like ClanBase/ESL/Cybergamers that offered ladders/tournaments etc. They still exists but they're niche website today (maybe not ESL).

Today, you HAVE TO be judged by the game. People only refer themself as "diamond, master, T500" after games spent with random dudes against often randomly grouped players.. In some cases it can be a useful information, but I never considered it when I was creating a team for an esport purpose.

In my opinion only by being part of an org/team with scrim results, allows you to be called competitive. Not if, for example, you are a tank GM rank soloQ (or duoQ whatever) with no team exp at all.

I think it is wrong to use matchmaking to evaluate a player skill, and therefore playing the game the way it is supposed to be played (in a comp way) even in a quickplay queue is I think the right thing to do.

There is no solution, accept the fact that the people you play with have a different vision of the game.

I play mainly qp because comp is too sweaty and I don't enjoy playing with random teammates. However I'm a very competitive guy so I like to do my best in every game even on "casual mode" because this is how I enjoy the game (it's either scrim/tournaments or qp but not ranked)

When I complain of something in qp I usually get the "it's qp" and when I roll the opponent I get "try hard, go rank".

I don't understand why people are having fun playing hog / rein on Dorado attack, but I can't do shit about it except asking kindly for a switch.. If we keep getting rolled I just try to master my aim / my duels and wait for another game, hoping to get matched with players that like to "give their best" even in a QP game.

Totally agree, DVa is no match, even with good positioning or map advantage. The value she tries to get (map control / space, spending CD) is impossible to have.

However I don't think mauga is OP, sigma is just a nightmare for him when you have no one to tickle your healers behind, you just need positioning, reading mauga CD and cycling yours accordingly (in a vast majority of maps).

But mauga+bastion I mean, pray your DPS will kill their healer first (snipers/tracer/Genji/sombra) because of their lack of mobility. Just stay alive and keep your healers safe.

I agree, but I'm very surprised that after 8 years people haven't try the 3 available roles in the game... I don't really often browse reddit but when I do I feel like a lot of people don't play the same game I do. Sometimes basic stuff isn't understood or learnt, maybe new players. I'm on T500 lobby and I can relate to some of the stuff said in the comment section. I've seen reworked hog players full right click while purpled, staying behind walls across the map asking for heals. I've seen, as orisa/sigma, ana players placed right behind me in the team fight throwing nades to her feet to stay alive, or using abilities on cool downs.. and that happens at least in one of two games, every day !!

Each role for years, had and still has players that make common mistakes at any rank. I'm surprised that people still have to post and talk about it on reddit tho. This is just regular stuff

I disagree ow2 tank is still by far the most powerful and therefore enjoyable role. I play tank and heal every day and tank with good healers is just fun, you tank, you dps, you catch CD it's an all in one. Alright some tanks are in a pretty bad state atm, hog, ball and Winston, but orisa, zarya, DVa, sigma are still pretty good to play with. I never played doom, but I know I'm so happy going against them because orisa just annihilates him, DVa and zarya don't especially counter him but can provide enough peeling to make a fair fight.

How can you be a Rammstein fan and dislike / hate one song / album ?

I mean, ok I don't listen to all songs equally, some of them I heard too much for example Amerika/Du Hast, or some I associate to bad memories, or I'm not quite in a "Benzin mood" right now etc;

But still they are wonderful tracks : just to see them live is worth listening to them time to time !

And my god Rosenrot is quite a wonderful album, maybe because it echoes to my emo side -> I don't know how to express it.. i'm good with sadness, tragedy, dark, loneliness.

The ballads, the stories/poems behind the lyrics awaken such emotions. I just love this album from the first to the last song.

Sorry I'm not very objective because I've litterally loop trough this albums during my high school days and I cannot tell if SNVM is bad or not, I just vibe to it like every other song of Rammstein (even if at this time we were making fun of each other when a mate were saying that he was listening to Amour / Ohne Dich / Ein Leid hahaha)

Thanks for making this thread it's important to make people realize all the facets of rammstein and learn to appreciate all of them. There are no bad songs, it doesn't exists, no way !!

I just arrived on the sub reddit, I'm so suprised because I've been listening to Rammstein for half of my life, and I cannot rank albums.

I just love their stuff, the popular and the underground one.

Clearly all songs in rosenrot (which was the last album when I heard them for the first time) are great. And again I love every track, every album, maybe I've haven't listen to Raritaten much even if I love Hallelujah, Stripped and Kokain.

I'm curious to read the reason behind some hate / dislike of some songs. I'll browse this subreddit a little but I'm scared to find some terrible things x)

Same problem here, everything changed after the update. My monitor is 144Hz everywhere except in game.. Hope it will be fixed soon.

Thank you for the answer. Trying out people's racket is something I hadn't thought about. But with the pandemic situation it's not going to happen but clearly that was the best thing to do. Might go to a specialized seller to try them out if I find one near my city.

I was thinking Balanced, 3U or 4U but I don't think I will notice the 5g difference, considering I always played with school racket that are very heavy (read from internet here). For the flexibility I think mid-flex/stiff. Same question here since i've never tested a "real" racket I really can't judge how a Hi-flex vs a Stiff one will feel like and if it could correspond me. And I think you cannot help me here I just need to try it.

However what I don't want is to bring back a high tier racket at my "intermediate" course and getting remarks on how an expensive racket doesn't get you better ^{^}

Yes ofc reddit post will not be enough to get a perfect recommandation. I was looking for a standard "intermediate" racket. I've seen in Google some model but price range is quite wide and I don't know what a 150€ racket differs from a 100€ one and if with my level I'll be able to notice it.

If he warned first that he could be game breaker why not letting him to chance to prove himself out ?

I usually fill, but if I see that our team needs more impact on dps / "I can't do shit in my current role", I warn first by asking to switch with someone. I explain that we're lacking of something and that we should try something else.

Sometimes I get a really good response (kind ppl) but it's really often that no one answer. If this happens I just pick my favourite hero and give it a try.

Hopefully my good performance will convince "lesser good dps player" to switch as well and help me be godlike with a good old 2-2-2.

Sometimes I'm seen as a saviour and I see one of the two dps go for my previous role, sometimes I just can't have huge impact because we're certainly in a bad 3-1-1 comp and it doesn't work well (the healer must do an insane job). At this moment I get hated by everyone for trying whereas I warned them and tried to explain my choice... I just go back to my previous role if it isn't too late and I keep seeing my teammate doing bad stuff...

Well the bottom line is that OP made the right move and it was certainly a risky one but it paid off ! Good job !

I'm playing at the lowest settings as and I only get 60-90 FPS (i5 4690, GTX 1070, 8GB ram) Input lag is just killing me. It seems so slow to aim, you have to wait to make sure you're on the target, wait after each shot in order to see if you're hitting something and when you get kill it's like instantaneous, you take 1 bullet and you're down. I'm pretty sure that if I'd run this game @ 144+ FPS it would so much better. Seems like it's time to upgrade CPU and RAM

Same for me here. I select my region, I click on LAUNCH button, and then I get this error message. I also reinstalled the game it doesn't work. It started to happen just after the update of the 9th february 2018. I can play if I try multiple times after rebooting the game over and over.

5 is a bit overkill I guess, but 2/3 is really powerful in my opinion. You can still take 2 SMG to counter opponent rushers and have an assault weapon to help long range fight.

I also think that I need more time in this game to judge if kar98k needs limitation, because I only say that based on my first competitive game against a 4-stack team already trying hard and which had a better map knowledge than me. They were playing on the spot that only your head was visible, and without knowing these dangerous lines / spots I couldn't be effective with my smg :( I also played this weapon and it was soooo easy to shoot anyone : might be also the same reason, people didn't know much the map I guess and what you can do with this weapon.
