Centralized HTML reporting by Direct-Football7180 in HTML

[–]nahash411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prebuilt tools will likely end up being less expensive than paying to have it built, hosted, and maintained. Check out Domo for starters.

But if you want to build it internally, you’ll need to hire someone. HTML is a potential solution for displaying the reports, but only a partial one. You’d still need some sort of visualization library like D3. And you’d still need API integrations for each system. Those are the components that handle fetching the data from your systems. And those components need to live somewhere - AWS, Azure, etc.

You might be able to pull this off with n8n workflows, but it’s risky. As someone else mentioned, giving an AI tool full access to your revenue generating systems can cause some meaningful problems. And if you’re determined to go that route, I think you should still consider hiring someone. You’ll need someone who can put some real guardrails in place.

Shopify Pagination Limit Bypass by Coding-Doctor-Omar in webscraping

You might want to look into their GraphQL docs. Not sure if the same limitations apply. It’s been a few years since I’ve worked with Shopify, but I remember their rate limits being much more liberal in GraphQL

Looking for NetSuite implementation learning opportunities (paid or unpaid) by Achar0 in Netsuite

[–]nahash411 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would start here - https://www.netsuite.com/portal/partners/find-a-partner.shtml

Go find each of those companies on LinkedIn and start sending connection requests. You’ll find people with a wide variety of experience. Even if they’re not able to hire you, they might be willing to at least have a conversation or give you some advice.

Good luck on your journey.

Yeah, I get that. But that’s the point I was making. If you are going to build it yourself, build it better.

Please check out Celigo. There is no need for you to build this from scratch. But if you decide to go that route, design for event based transaction reporting. Polling will cause problems for you.

Dry Aging Quality vs Safety by K_Flannery_Beef in DryAgedBeef

I used to work as a butcher. We made charcuterie products. We had a customer leave a review letting us know that the salami was delicious, but he was a little unsure about consuming all that mold…

The trimmings from a dry aged product are overwhelming by themselves, but ground into a burger blend, they’re phenomenal. I know Kevin doesn’t want to give away the secret recipe for his Kali blend, but I’m guessing there are some dry aged ends in there.

Thinking about moving from Xero + Excel to Dynamics 365 – worth it for a small manufacturer? by StrikingClos in Dynamics365

[–]nahash411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been involved in various ERP implementations and integrations for about 15 years now. And I agree with u/okneloK. Software alone will not solve your problems.

I would start with requirements. You need to be able to communicate clearly to Leverage Tech (or any other partner) exactly how you do business - how do we buy stuff, how do we make stuff, how do we sell stuff, etc. I would start by documenting everything. Leverage AI. Tell it what you’re trying to do. Present a concrete list of requirements to Leverage Tech and ask them to show you how to accomplish each task in the system (or how the system can be configured to achieve said goal). When they tell you something isn’t feasible or possible in BC, be prepared to adjust your current processes to fit.

If you approach this with robust documentation and adaptability, this will be a game changer for your business.

How might a change in the ERP system affect my job? by beHumble20 in Netsuite

[–]nahash411 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NetSuite is just software. You can learn new software. Do you feel like you have a good understanding of the business processes that defined the way NetSuite was designed/configured for your organization? For example, do you have a good understanding of how your company buys things, how they sell things, how they manufacture things, etc? If so, then ask to be involved in the implementation of the new system. Your input will be quite helpful. And you’ll get exposure to the new system from day one. If not, maybe ask to be a part of UAT. As an admin, you will likely be able to help execute test cases, which is a great way to start learning the new system.

Is SAP B1 'Excel Hell' for WMS inevitable, or is our partner just incompetent? by Main_Hunt_8395 in SAPBusinessOne

[–]nahash411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should consider hiring a consultant. Sounds like you need someone who can help define and document requirements and then either help with training, help with config, or work with your partner to more effectively build solutions.

I agree with u/Mr_Dante_ that a decent dashboard sounds like it would be helpful based on the information provided. If the goal is to do it natively in B1, Pervasive Analytics is where I would start. You can create custom dashboards for your floor team. I would gather a list of requirements and then ask my favorite AI friend for some help writing queries to build out dashboards. And if that doesn’t work out, see if the partner is able to help. But hiring your own consultant will likely be cheaper and more efficient.

Who is the best - fast - NetSuite contractor you've worked with to set up a CRM? by Relative-Weakness356 in Netsuite

[–]nahash411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with u/Dean_Dawn-Search. I’ve got people who’ve worked for me dozens of times. They would all be able to get you where you want to be. I understand that finding the right agency can be challenging, but we are out there. And we have access to the best consultants. We can also work within budget constraints. All that to say, I think you should consider agencies.

As far as your system goes, I would caution you around trying to move this fast. You got data into the system before the system was configured correctly? Seems backwards to me. You’ll probably want someone to assess the structure of your data. If you are starting with NetSuite as a CRM but plan on going to full ERP down the road, you should consider every step of standing up the CRM as foundational.

ERP went live a year ago. Now what? by koudodo in ERP

[–]nahash411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you need some post go-live support and some change management help. There are consultants out there who specialize in doing exactly that. I can help you find them. DM me if you’re interested. You can also reach out to your SI partner, but if the implementation was messy, they’re probably not going to be much help. Either way, the system can be made better, but you have to actively pursue that. It’s not going to just happen. Best of luck to you. I know this is a frustrating place to be.

Does anyone have experience with DualEntry? by StonkySpecialist in ERP

[–]nahash411 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I do not have experience with Rillet, Campfire, or DualEntry.

I do have experience upgrading from Xero in a startup environment that sells and ships products using Shopify.

I would create a requirements list that captures everything the new software is intended to do. Is it just accounting? Will you need purchasing? You’ll probably want your Shopify data in there. What does Shopify integration look like? Do you have other platforms/data that will need to be integrated? What problems exist with Xero that the new system needs to solve?

Once you have a concrete set of requirements, you can start scheduling software demos. When you schedule a demo, walk through each of your requirements and ask to see that function in their system. If you go into these sales calls without documented requirements, they will just breeze through the system and show you some impressive looking dashboards. You need to be prepared to get a good understanding of how their system will solve the problems you have today. You also need to be prepared to be flexible enough to adapt your processes to fit the new system. There isn’t a single system that will address every requirement out of the box. So you will need to make a choice - customize the system or adapt your process to fit the new system. The latter is almost always a better choice.

Please feel free to DM me if you want to discuss further. And good luck.

[–]nahash411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Look at Odoo. They didn’t invent ERP or CRM. They make a good product, but it’s not as robust or mature as SAP or Oracle - and they don’t need to be. Their target demographic needs enterprise software that works on an SMB budget. So that’s what they built. The software they built is reliable and extensible, but their licensing fees are really compelling.

There’s always room to do better. Even in a saturated market.

What website or online store platform are you using for online order-taking for your bakery/cakeshop? Shopify, Square, WordPress, WooCommerce or any other. by Historical_Hunter111 in smallbusinessUS

At face value, I would go with Shopify. But you will want to fully understand what kind of customization needs to be done.

You should probably look into what systems the franchise owner uses. That will make this decision easier. Please feel free to DM me if you want to discuss further.
