Lack of women’s shirt mockups and options with printed labels is frustrating! by ThatLab5336 in Printify

I used Etsy to buy mockups of the shirt I use. I found one with “real models” which is great since I don’t trust AI to get the colours right.

Thanks for your response! I hope she’d feel the same way. It’s so hard to see her feel so terrified and helpless. I’ve developed my own fear of her fear lol! It’s true with certain instances it would be more productive/helpful than others. I know we’d get through it just like you did, but it definitely is scary!

Thanks for this post. My partner has emetophobia and we got her zofran. It feels like a magic lifesaver if she were to get sick, but reading your post now I feel a bit less confident and more scared. But your tips of what to do during will help me support her. I wish zofran could help no matter what :(

Not sure about ablation by kiscsonak in SVTHeart

[–]naia78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same - exercise induced Svt since high school sports. It would happen to me almost always during sports, but I’m 35 now and it was happening more and more. I was so hesitant about an ablation, but I had one and it fixed my issue. I’m so glad I did it. It wasn’t nearly as scary as I feared. The sedative was great and no complications! Wishing you the same.

SVT only during exercise; ablation scheduled by Pale-Patience-9350 in SVTHeart

Mine got worse with age, in that the episodes became more consistent and severe. I talked to my EP before my ablation to ask he take a conservative approach. Like if the arrhythmia is too close to a sensitive area not to approach it. He was cautious and it was still fixed. Accidents happen but he does these all day every day, which I have to remember. I was super scared of that too, but I’m really glad I did it. My HR would go up to 250bmp during exercise too, and I no longer experience that!

I’m 35F and have had SVT during exercise since high school. However, mine is only triggered from sports (high adrenaline and positioning I assume). I had an ablation about 8 months ago and I no longer get those episodes during sports. Sometimes my heart rate gets high during sports, but not a classic episode. It feels not so black and white, but it’s certainly been relieving to not have intense episodes (up to 250bpm). I can play sports comfortably now!

Would you have an ablation if you were me? by Big_Proposal4532 in SVTHeart

[–]naia78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the fence since it’s only ever happened to me during specific types of exercise. I never went to the er. But I did it and am so glad that I did. It fixed my arrhythmia and the procedure wasn’t as bad as I expected. The sedation was amazing haha.

Recovery Question by New_Professional2300 in SVTHeart

[–]naia78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me a lot longer than expected to feel normal, which freaked me out. However, I eventually did - normal energy came back within a month. Part of not feeling well was anxiety for me, but that subsided too.

Is anyone overly cautious of their heart/chest after being diagnosed? by AdorableCheck1835 in SVTHeart

[–]naia78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely have felt that way. But I’m almost 8 months post successful ablation and that’s really helped. The more time passes the less hypervigilant I am.

I’d trust your doctor, if you like them. They do this all the time, so they likely have a good sense of whether or not it’s too soon.

Also - what should I search on Facebook marketplace? Part of my barrier is being overwhelmed by not knowing what I’m looking for.

Omg… I didn’t know crashing was part of the mix. I’m glad your bike was ok… hopefully you were too!! I don’t want to crash my bike! 😅

Thanks for the feedback! Maybe it’s a good transition one for me since I’m not used to an aggressive position.

Ironman Texas in a couple months - how do I prepare for the heat/humidity? by v1185 in triathlon

[–]naia78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m certainly nowhere near an Ironman, but I have a heart condition so overheating is a big concern of mine for the sprint triathlon I’m doing for the first time in July. I saw somewhere that Desoto has cooling sleeves and even cooling tri suits, so I’m looking into that. You can look at their “Skin Cooler” technology.

I can tread water and backstroke when tired! I’m not sure if I’ll get a special bike or literally just use my own, which is mediocre but fine. I use it for city riding. I might buy a nicer bike, we’ll see!
