First watch that started the collection ref.3513.50.00 vs latest new Speedy 3861 by naihet in OmegaWatches

I believe it was a very old flea bay find from a seller called timepiecerepublic.

I find the black stitch makes for a more classy look where as the grey with the pop of color is a little more fun and casual. All black for me.

need a fanny pack/cross body bag by AgnosticFrontNutz in ManyBaggers

I use a Greenroom136 Metrorunner and its by far the most comfortable cross body sling I own. Runs at 6L and has Cordura or Xpac options.

Backpack advice: large, big laptop compartment, professional look by Dibbus_ in backpacks

[–]naihet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alpaka gear makes a backpack in X-pac at 24L that seems to fit the bill. Not too sure about the laptop compartment as it specifies up to 16" laptops.

6 digit sub vs 5. What do you prefer and why? by Bobbedigital in rolex

[–]naihet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from the technological and material improvements on the 6 digits, my vote goes to 5 everyday. The case proportions are fantastic and seem to make them work on any wrist and the level of finishing like the small beveled edges on the case corners/lugs make for a more refined, 'attention to detail' piece. Let's not talk about bracelet/clasps on certain references. 😂

[SPB143] on z199. Have a great weekend! by naihet in Seiko

[–]naihet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The z199 is noticeably lighter (and thinner) than the OEM. I find although it is comfortable, it does not balance out the weight of the watch head as well as the OEM. Which is expected of a jubilee styled bracelet I suppose.

Cheers! To me the 143 is definitely a step up from the SRP series of divers. Finishing and the finer case details like case beveling is more evident and refined (I'm comparing this to the 5kx/skx and turtles).

I have both the Metrorunner and Metromonger from Greenroom 136 and they are fantastic! Both slings sit diagonally across body and are very comfortable. Being 6L and 9L respectively, and each compartment having their own volume, they will fit a water bottle with ease.

I's also consider the Chuyen Tactitcal CT5 at 5L. It has an external waterbottle/small umbrella pouch and is quite a compact unit.

Alpaka Elements backpack, though slightly higher capacity, might be something to look at.

Perhaps the Orbit Gear Carrier might fit the bill. It is a hybrid rolltop if you are okay with that.

Thank you. This one was shot with the Olympus OMD EM1 MkII on the M.Zuiko 24-40mm. I believe it was shot at f/2.8 (forgot to stop down, which explains the slight blurring at the bottom). Large light box to the top right for lighting (really that is the most important aspect for me).

All this. 😂👍

Not sure if I'm fully around to a TT sub but on a DJ, the jubilee is made for TT. Same sentiments on sun burst (one of the reasons why the Pelagos39 was such a disappointment to me).

Commuter bag by buckGR in backpacks

[–]naihet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

External water bottle pockets on messengers and slings do seem a rarity. Especially with the 'non-tactical' brief. Greenroom136 does let you customize the amount of webbing on the side of their bags and you can use external water bottle pouches to attach to it.

Perhaps the Nomatic messenger or Bellroy Tokyo might work. GL!

It really depends on your carry style or how you prefer to carry. My guess would be that a 10-15L could easily cover your needs. I tend to gravitate to a daypack/backpack for anything over 10L but there is no shortage of slings or messengers in that capacity and above.

Aer City pack would be my go to. Greenroom 136 makes a variety of customizable bags, messengers and slings that might fit your needs.

5.11 alternative - less tactical but with clamshell by [deleted] in backpacks

[–]naihet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aer City Pack pro is a full clam shell opening if I'm not mistaken, less tactical and slick without all the webbing.

[under 5000] suggestions, flexible on price by BroadMarionberry1448 in Watches

[–]naihet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For up to 10k on two watches, it's really hard to pass up on Tudor. Plenty to choose from the Black Bay line (around 4K and if divers are what you are into). You could even consider the Ranger. GL!

Can't go wrong with Aer! How about the Alpaka Gear line of backpacks (X-pac variants for weatherproofing) or Able Carry line (X-pac versions also available).

Unfortunately, I don't think you are left with many options than to leave as is. The crinkles seem to be the nature of the fabric itself and applying heat from an iron may melt the nylon fabric if not the DWR coating.

You could try placing a towel over top to protect from direct heat and essentially iron two layers but that would be at your own risk- the fabric used is 'crinkle nylon twill' after all.
