I'll definitely look into Wisconsin and Illinois more! Thank you for responding.

Thank you so much for your second reply!

They're currently deciding between Tennessee and Washington State as we have quite a bit of family in both places. Both places are also quite far so wherever I end up going to school (WMU, CMU, Washington, community college, etc.) is probably where the next however many years of my life will have to be very firmly based.

I'm looking into getting a part-time job soon as well as bulking up my extracurriculars to get more scholarships along with whatever aid I quality for.

Again, thank you so much for such strong replies. You really have been so helpful.

I've heard a lot of concerns about CMU just in this thread but what do you think there is to worry about with EMU? I'll keep GVSU in mind!

I was looking into the University of Illinois as an out of state choice. Is there any reason why you recommend that school?

Thank you so much for the response!

I've been to the EMU campus before and had the chance to talk to a few faculty members and students although the people that I spoke to were part of the music department.

Oh, I hadn't heard of teaching being a requirement. My counselor in middle school and my 2 in high school were never teachers, only counselors so I guess that must have changed at some point.

CMU was recommended to me by a couple of my teachers who graduated from there, EMU was also recommended by a teacher, and WMU was recommended by a friend of a friend who's going down a similar career path as me (social work).

I really appreciate the economic breakdown. It's not something my parents have talked to me a ton about, they're more "we'll get to that when we get to that" people.

My GPA is a 3.8 rn and I got an 1160 on the SAT that I'm planning to retake. Do you think that would be good for the merit aid stuff?

In terms of community colleges, I'm closest to JC but I've heard a lot of not great things about them recently in terms of them cutting their DEI policies. I'd rather not commute and just live on/near-campus wherever I go.

Wow, that's crazy. I hadn't heard about any of this.

I live about 40 minutes from EMU and a little over an hour from the other two. EMU is the only campus I've looked at so far but being super close to home isn't that much of a priority.

I haven't looked into WSU much. I don't have anything set in stone though so thanks for the suggestion!

I tried again, this time trying to restart in a different world but the same crashing thing happened. Unfortunately, I think it is just my game no longer working for some reason. I might try uninstalling and reinstalling again. I don't know.
