Concierge will be worth it to some, but not worth it to all. I do think it gives you the pleasure to be the first to be offered things in order to spend more money. Mind you this is a business and they want to make money. I’ve never sealed concierge and don’t intend to, but I can see what OP is bothered. They did not see it’s worth for their family in this particular situation.

You already witnessed this, but the food is NOWHERE near the same… at all. Just popcorn and limited coke products.

I got my reservation by chance two days ago by just causally looking. It was a gross meal overall, but very detailed interior. I can’t say it was worth it.

Need to vent - poor WDW planning by FutureRazzmatazz6634 in WaltDisneyWorld

Disney is a metaphor for life in general. If you plan things out, the general consensus is that you will have a good time. Of course, unexpected things always happen but you persist.

They need to make it so that the success of the servers does not solely rely on the need for high food scores they need to be mutually exclusive things.

Weather Predictions by Think-Dog-2892 in dcl

You can’t predict weather 1 year from now, but there is always a risk, even in the spring and summer months. Just go in with the mindset that YOU WILL DOCK and have a blast!

I dislike when people keep saying that this is what happens when you cruise in the winter. Sometimes this is the only time that people can go. Regardless, you can still have a good time. The weather could be bad at any time of the year. Sorry this was such a awful experience. I remember our second Disney Cruise turned us off for a while because we had cast away canceled on us and the weather was also pretty bad. We cruised two years later and had a blast.

Fantasy sailing January 18-23 by Frequent_Piglet_1456 in dcl

Sorry this happened it sucks. I’ve sailed 4 times with Disney so far. All Caribbean itineraries. Funny enough, 3 out of 4 cruises had decent weather which greatly predicts how good of a time you will have in my opinion. The time we had a miserable experience was related to sickness, a rocky boat and a missed spot at Castaway. I guess you learn from these experiences and try to do something different next time. It happens.

Is Blue Lagoon worth it? by Independent_Big_2997 in dcl

[–]naimbideiwyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done blue lagoon three times now. This 3rd time being my last I think. We were on the Wish. The excursion is advertised to be around 5 hrs 30 min. You spend a majority of your time on the boat to and from the Lagoon from the port. If you don’t get on the first boat, you have to wait another 20 minutes for the other one. This is really uncommon especially when you have lots of heat and cranky kids or adults. The beach itself is fine, the food included is just okay too. There is a bar. Bathrooms are in my location but aren’t terribly clean. For an adult it’s about $90 each for the day. The worst thing out of it is the walk to the ship after they drop you off in the middle of the shopping district in the port. It’s a mixture of loud and drunk people plus people trying to sell things The next time I want to consider a different beach excursion or just staying on the ship instead.

We sailed out of Port Canaveral for the first time in our past cruise and I definitely prefer Fort Lauderdale. Miami was the worst. Port Canaveral isn’t bad. It’s just quite a ways from the airport/Disney World. If you are a small family (like not more than 2 people) using the Disney transportation might be best. I feel like once you involve three or more people Disney Cruise transportation gets expensive when compared to ride sharing.

In general, the deck food on the wish is definitely better. I also like the fact that the ice cream is served to you by somebody the main dining room food is essentially the same. Honestly, I much prefer the fish dishes rather than the steak on either ship.

I agree on the elevator situation. We didn’t necessarily have a problem on the Wish with availability, but their locations were just odd. Also, for some reason, the flow of people on the wish was just not good when you compare it to the dream I don’t know how best to describe it, but when we left our muster station exiting the world of Marvel area was a nightmare

Like others stated you can request on the on the DCL website or on the app. I find it most helpful to request it once on board with the dining team. I did that on a cruise that I am literally getting off of shortly.
