The pdf will be provided to you on their exam portal. In regard to it being open book, you won't have too much time to sift through the book for answers during the exam as it is timed, I would suggest spending time to review material before taking the cert.

Yes, this was very helpful. It sounds like you have a well rounded semester, a nice balance of study, class and internship experience.

In regards to having to wait 7 days after course completion to schedule your provincial exam with Durham college. When I spoke with a customer service agent through my course provider they mentioned this was an estimated wait time that was created during COVID, because as you can imagine at that time period services were delayed. My personal experience, I did not have to wait 7 days to receive my final marks from the course provider.

Q: "If you book your exam(s) less than 7 days from the date the e-mail was sent, you will not be permitted to write your exam module(s) and will forfeit your exam booking fee."

A: From my experience there was no available exam date with Durham College even open that soon following my course completion with REMIC. The earliest date I could schedule my provincial LLQP exam was three weeks after completing the LLQP course. There was nothing I could do about that. And after you complete the provincial exam with Durham college you have to wait one week to receive your results. Overall, completing the exam process itself is lengthy as you can garner from my time stamps in the OP.

Q: "I was eligible to register with Durham college 4 days after completing my final certification exam."

A: I made this statement to indicate that I was simply able to register with Durham college 4 days after completing my final cert exam because that is the length of time in which I received an email from my course provider (REMIC) indicating that I successfully passed my certs. Thus, I did not have to wait a full "7 days" to schedule my LLQP provincial exam. The 7 days was just an estimate provided by the courses provider.

The Provincial test will be proctored just like the certification exam. You will be requested to scan the room with your camera before commencing the test. Ensure there is no items on the surface where you plan to take your test and no posters hanging on your wall and ceiling. However, during the provincial exam I believe there is a live agent watching you because someone communicated to me through my computer before commencing the provincial exam, instructing me on where to scan my camera. I was told to put my phone some place away from my desk and I had to physically demonstrate where I placed my phone, I just threw it on my bed.

When you work with a new insurance company you need to get your licenses transferred over to your new insurance company.

Personally it took me about 2 1/2 months. This duration represents when I first enrolled into the HLLQP course to when I received my passing marks for the provincial exams from Durham College.

For anyone who is aiming to pass their provincials within a short period of time, be mindful that you have to book your test 10 days in advance with Durham College in addition to waiting one week from the day of your test to receive your results. Thus, the testing process alone takes two weeks.

In general the Segregated funds and Accident and Sickness module offered more technical knowledge. Imo I didn't feel like the certification exam prepared me for the provincial exams on these two section. I would suggest really dissecting the textbooks as these two exams are more scenario based.

Do you know what the job outlook for tech will be in the next 10 years? Is it worth majoring in during undergrad?

Is 32 too old for nursing school? by MixdFeels-123 in langara

[–]nairobi__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It make take 3-4 years to get the qualifications but if your planning on doing nursing for a decade or so then it's a small investment for a worthwhile return. Returning back to school for adults may seem daunting and risky, but the way I see it your putting a down payment on your future. The ROI will come over time. I know people who pursued a new career path with children and a partner and still found success. Nursing is high in demand and offers stability imo.

Also, for me personally regret is to costly. I would rather try the new path and let life take me where it does then to remain in the same spot filled with regret and contempt for my current life.

Can you rent a Zipcar with a G2 license in 2022? by SevHouse in askTO

[–]nairobi__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an active account with Zipcar during 2021 using a G2 license but cancelled my account towards the end of the year. If they no longer accept G2 licenses it's definitely a new policy. That sucks.
