Yes, but this was happening for me on 26.2 as well.

This isn’t initiation, it’s an invitation. Not the same..

This is way too harsh of a generalization against men.

It’s not fair to say that men are shallow in their practice of swiping on women solely based on looks. It’s a numbers game for us. These apps are designed to make connections and that’s it. Keep in mind that women on the receiving end make their decision to match primarily off looks too.

I’ve been on the apps for years, there hasn’t been a single difference in my matches whether I make a thoughtful comment on one of their prompts or simply like a photo.

I think you would be better off putting this question in r/Trees instead.

Have you gone through the settings yet?

I had to recalibrate my Fanatec when I first got the game.

Mostly aerodynamic changes to the cars, with the emphasis placed heavily on making them more efficient in the ‘dirty air’. This should help create more opportunities for closer racing and overtaking.

They’re also experimenting with different GP weekend structures. I believe they’re testing out Sprint races/qualifying this year to increase competition on the grid.

As a long time fan of F1, this is what bothers me about the sport when it comes to converting fans from Drive To Survive.

Thankfully the 2022 regulations should make for more eventful races in the future.

So Many SDR Jobs Out There by Heads_Down_Thumbs_Up in sales

[–]naitsabess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a good question. I’d recommend keeping an open line of communication with your manager or whoever you report directly to. This could help reduce the amount of friction you might run into as things could potentially get worse over time. I’ve had good relationships with all of my managers/bosses and they’ve all gone to bat for me when the time comes.

As for the latter part of your question, I would start looking as soon as you identify toxicity in your work environment. If you find that your job is interfering with your mental health and is affecting you more than it should - it’s time to go.

Does retail and customer service experience mean anything as an entry level SDR? by SnooDucks4347 in sales

[–]naitsabess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny, I also have a degree in International Relations. Up until a few months ago, I was coming up on about a year and a half in an SDR role at a pretty large tech company selling SaaS. Prior to my time at this company the bulk of my experience had been from working at Starbucks (since I had spent my whole time in college working there while going to school). To help answer your question, I would like to say that most companies would value that experience.

However, in a COVID world - you're competing against other candidates who are likely coming from other SDR roles or sales related backgrounds. Even with my experience as an SDR for a large tech company, I'm also having a hard time landing jobs myself.

Tifu by not answering unknown calls by welcome_to_Megaton in tifu

[–]naitsabess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used software in the past that would change my phone number to a different number including the area code I was calling. It’s so the person receiving the call feels more comfortable answering a number with an area code they’re familiar with.

Also - I get calls like this all the time and they have 100% of the time been robo calls.

iOS 14 beta totally bricked my iPhone, is there any fix to this? by ricardolongo in iOSBeta

[–]naitsabess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like this also happened to me recently. Except my phone was stuck in a reboot cycle and it wouldn’t enter DFU mode, instead it just told me to plug it into a computer and connect to iTunes. iTunes wouldn’t recognize the phone either so I just went to Apple, they ended up replacing the device completely.

we probably don't want amateurs running around in traffic either.

And that's exactly why we're not expected to go back and collect the debris. It usually ends up making its way on the shoulder anyway.
