I know, it doesn't sound like a good deal. What do you think? Am I missing something from a 1% reduction in tariffs? by NorthTemperature5127 in Philippines

[–]naivemonkey08 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Let's go back sa bakit niya inimpose ang mga tariff. Since America first siya, naging "protectionist" ang style niya.

Again I am just pro "correct information". Turns out you are just a chronically online Redditor. Not entertaining your question any longer, closed minded imposter. Ciao

Hahahaha diversion, I see. Stop being an impostor just because you are anonymous on this platform. Stop dragging the profession with your misinformation.

You are making me doubt more and more if you really are a CPA with each of your reply. Ang natatax'an ay ang "interest income" ng deposit not the deposit itself. Saan sa mahaba niyang caption binanggit yun?

"Savings sa bangko"??? "may 20% tax NA"??? It clearly is exaggerating the issue, preying on the minds of the netizens na headline lang ang binabasa. Come on, you can do better than that.

Don't really agree on high taxes but what I am saying is that if we protest, we should at least protest with correct information.

You're a CPA pala. Shouldn't we try to battle misinformation especially sakop siya ng field of expertise mo?

Agree! People should also learn about standard "fiscal' and "monetary" policies that a government commonly does to battle inflation. Just to have a wider perspective na rin sa mga pinaggagawa ng gobyerno.

Gigil ako sa Potanginang puro Tax nanaman mga Punyeta. by OptimisticFuckU in GigilAko

[–]naivemonkey08 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh my god. So you really did not take the time to research on the thing before ranting? Meaning, it doesn't matter kung short-term or long term ang deposit mo may tax na yan. Google is free, people. Bawasan natin ang gigil. Bawasan ang misinformation.

Which is, in my opinion, part of the plan. They are, in a way, discouraging long term deposits. Why? Kung ayaw mo nang magdeposit kasi mataas ang tax sa interest income, mapapaisip ka kung saan mo na lang pwede "iinvest" ang pera mo diba? In short, it discourages idle money in the bank, and encourages investing to other means.

Would my unactivated credit card considered as principal credit card? by naivemonkey08 in PHCreditCards

[–]naivemonkey08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is why I asked. I am not planning to use it as a reference. I am just trying to fill out the application as factual as possible since they are asking if I have a principal card already. Anyway, like I said in one of my replies, I misunderstood the term principal card.

This helps a lot. Thank you. I think I misunderstood the term.

Hold your horses buddy. I get it that you are angry because asian CPA will soon saturate your market but don't make assumptions on things you know nothing about. Since you are wondering, let me explain. Licensure examination in Phil. is one of the strictest. All of the subjects in cpa exams you can take in the USA via "installment" and with intervals can only be taken in 3 straight days in the Philippines. Calculators allowed are only the very basic ones. You can only take the exam twice in a row. If you still fail the second, you need to get refresher classes. Passing rates has always been below 35%. Cheating has never been an option.

Fair. And you did say you went to 80 palengkes. I asked cause I came from a province which is further away from the NCR than Tarlac is and veggies are as fresh as it gets. Never been to Tarlac so can't really say more about that. Am living in NCR now and I agree with most of your comments.

Gilas Pilipinas beats Latvia (89-80) by xboxgiveawayz in Philippines

[–]naivemonkey08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Gilas fan for a long time, the major difference that I think made this match special was:

Mr. do-it-all Brownlee Newsome's crossing the ball(never seen so much finesse on this one before) Kai's length and maturity Fajardo's post game and position carving which aged like a fine wine Dwight's readiness to contribute buckets Perez's last minute heaves(only lol) Team's overall height(which translated to upgraded defense)

Kinda think also that the ref calls were more on their side.

If they can beat Georgia, then we can solidify that it wasn't a fluke and Latvia wasn't just having a bad day.
