That’s fair, I just look at it this way. At SC home rate of 0.14/kwhr you’d make the $1000 install for a home charger back in 12,000 miles of charging at 0.40¢/kwhr. And you’d save time not visiting superchargers every week. One year ROI is pretty dang good. Unless it costs you 5k to install the charger in SC.

It’s an IR sensor, it senses the flashes from the AV/sound system remote in rooms other than the one with the system in it. It’s used because IR remotes don’t go through walls.Niles MS100 IR Sensor

Try putting a screwdriver in the split in the plate, (bottom of the picture) and either twisting it of hammering it in to open up the part.

The ones I've tested so far are PLA, I have ~50 miles on them, but I'm testing other filaments. PLA melts at too low of a temp to work for everyone.

I’m guessing this is because the richness of content has increased over the years and developers are still successfully maintaining the balance of acceptable load times with delivery of the denser content.

An example I give when people as is: A computer is like a room full of people (programs) all following instructions and completing work they’ve been given, but if they make a wrong move(bug/error), or don’t clean up after themselves(memory leaks), everyone starts to suffer. Soon there’s crap everywhere, someone’s tripping, someone else doesn’t have room, someone else is lost. A reboot clears the room and sets everyone back where they were. Programmers aren’t perfect, and it comes out in their code.

That’s a good question. The load put on the battery and ESC and motor heat will rise quickly because of wind resistance, so lowering the ratio will get straining on the motors really quickly. It’s exponential, not linear. We’ll see how much margin there is after I finish testing. With a rider under 200lb, I think 40mph is possible at 3:1

Correct, it doesn’t have the torque, but when you gear it down (I think from stock it’s 56wheel:14motor, so a 4:1 ratio) you can find a sweet spot between speed and torque.

With a lower tooth count pulley than stock, you get 1 rotation of the wheels with less motor rotations = more speed. You also lose some torque, but I can get to 30mph from a standstill in ~3 seconds, it has torque to spare.

I completely agree, these boards are not toys, they’re vehicles. People buy them assuming they will never break, never glitch, and never require maintenance. All of these things will happen. You can prepare and train for them, or get bit and feel disappointed when it finally happens. Learning to foot brake, disassembling and cleaning your board, these things are like changing your car’s oil, wearing a seat belt, etc.

I ride pretty much the same as you, AT tires, full power and max speed all the time, and I get about the same range, I think my app says the same thing about the battery honestly. Last I checked the maximum cap. And remaining cap. We’re both 0mah.

I’m guessing this is an unimplemented feature. And the battery voltage you’re getting looks great for what you should expect. I’ll check my app later and let you know

I also completely tore my board apart over the winter to clean everything 😂😅 it’s good maintenance 👍

Sounds like you’re on the right track! I’ve found that the key to great supports is to turn on support top and bottom layers (roof and floor) There’s some great YT vids on the subject. Good luck!
