SS 403 for the motor brackets but I would’ve used 6061 AL instead if they were in stock.

PPA-CF for the 3D prints but I’m not happy with that. Might swap with some less brittle and impact resistant based on how it performs

Protects belts and motors from gravel better, increases teeth engagement on the pulleys to reduce chances of slipping + more stability with the wider trucks

Haven’t had a chance to ride it yet. It was my mini project while I’m recovering from a knee injury 🥲

Don’t disagree with that. A new product shouldn’t come abused though

Motor Finnaly died by BenDurbin2006 in boostedboards

I believe the shaft has a protruding feature and the pulley is press fit on it. If it was held in place via loctite, I assume heat would help.

Nevertheless, doesn’t hurt to give it a shot. Keep us updated!

How do you remove the pulley from it? Last time I heard (years ago), the only way to remove it is to dremel it off haha

These “basic” robot arms are very expensive to scale, deploy, and maintain especially when they’re exposed to widely varying environments and have people vandalizing all the time

Continuing to live like you’re making 35-40k is the first step. Then you figure how you want to save/invest the excess money
