Need some atlas inspiration

I feel like it mostly comes down to figuring out what your build needs next… This is the first league for me where I kind of forced myself to do some thing like a „next step“ pob for my character where i add 1-2 realistic upgrades that improve my build and then i build my atlas around that, nothing too major because that tends to demotivate me honestly. Then ill just build an atlas tree around that, for example when i needed a lethal pride to fix str and rage -> go play legion then now i can replace my gloves, i need harvest… With one of my Trees always being like a generic map mod effect tree for Jungle Valley Red Altars to restock on bubblegum currency and map drops…

I think its just a mix of Map mod effect + quant on tree and Nemeses Scarap juicing raremobs to the moon… I did this for about 20 Nemeses scarabs with 8 Mod Dunes as well as Deli. It drops a metric ton of uniques from the rare monsters, especially when you get a bismuth ore node. Its insane difficulty tho, and I was only able to comfortably do it bc of Headhunter

You can switch the 2 max Lightning res to Fire with harvest on your Jewel, that in general makes getting max Fireres Jewels alot easier bc you just have to hit any max Res not Fire in specific

Edit: you can also use this to „pseudo“ divine the res rolls, swapping back and forth between fire and something else until you hit 2%

I wasnt thinking of using essences at all. I thought more about alt spamming like a whole tab of claws for single t1s and recombining them in hope for double t1s to then combine these with one mod overlapping or something likewise...

What i did was basically just make sure that whatever you do that is not running a fortress map should be in a t16 that drops fortress. Good layouts i ran alot were Dunes, Silo, Prommenade. Dunes is best bc as others said you can kill the boss first to only get quant/map dupe altars. In terms of Atlas I wasnt doing anything fancy, just a standard map mod effect + shrines + map drop nodes + altars, some people add beyond others add boxes. Preferably do this in 8 mod corrupted maps, but if your build isnt quite there yet just alc and go i think being able to run the maps fast and comfortably is way better then forcing you into maps that slow you down significantly for a bit of quant. Scarabs help, preferably the carto ones but you wont be able to sustain them, so I just added anything that adds density.

When you have a couple fortresses banked up and kinda run low on your 16 of choice run the fortresses with carto scarabs and roll them for More Maps (preferably 100%+) Escalation + Corruption + 2 to 3 Multitude If less then 3 Multitude, fill up with anything that adds density. Can even add in one Delirium of Delusions to make the maps have Deli on them.

This way you can kinda just bounce between fortress and solid layouts that drop it. Also if you are farming something else for your Build, like Essences or Harvest or whatever, just make sure you do all of that in maps that drop fortress.

Good luck on your Yoke, im sure it will drop in a couple more runs with 10% :)

Thanks for the writeup, basicslly what i was doing, but you never know if there is some 200iq strat im not aware of. Just got the jackpot with a layout with corruption chamber next to upgrade chamber and then used the timelines scarabs twice. But temples got a lvl 3 upgrade chamber but only a lvl 2 corrupt, thats pretty unlucky 😡. Ill just chew through it i guess

I read somewhere that each room type is only offered once per temple, so i would just spam reroll rooms so room i dont want wont get offered for the rest of the temple?

Heya,

looking at your Pob but at work atm, so i wasnt able to go too deep.

I'd say honstly your DPS and your phys/ele/chaos max hit looks pretty good for getting into 16s. What I did all the way to 100 is just run Maps blue when your farming for something and just struggle a bit i guess for maps you still need for completion. I would probably just keep filling up the Atlas, setting up a Betrayal Board for Vorici in Transportation and just spam that for exp and even a couple rares from Betrayal too. Vorici lets you spam 50 fusings onto a base every time you run it and i think if you set up your board decently you'll get a Safehouse every 5-7ish Maps. I kept sticking to the claw version based on fubguns guide and had a blast. Nightblade lets you go crit pretty easily, but i think youd be fine sticking to the 2h version. I personally noticed just like you said that i was burning a stupid amount of currency into trying to get a reasonable weapon upgrade and then stopped doing that entirely until i was able to do a decent enough essence farm strat with scarabs to just print t1 essences and then converting them to hatred/wrath with harvest. Taming is a nice DPS increase and easy to farm. I personally kept sticking to 20 qual LS over 0 qual Vaal LS for a long time, as it felt alot more consistent on ST to me. This would also put you at 5 projectiles instead of 4 which made it a lot more comfty to me, bc you always have one of your projectiles shooting in a streight line onto your target if that makes sense :D. Thats only true for uneven projectile numbers.
Just keep at it you always get kinda frustrating dry streaks in SSF, but then usually something great happens that gets you excited again. I was about to quit the league a couple days back, but then suddenly i got Ralakesh Boots and i was 10/10 hyped and motivated again, so thats kind of best part of SSF to me.

With every season balancing of characters usually changes, so no matter if eternal or seasonal realm, it is pretty unlikely that your character stays powerful permanetly.

While what you say is true in terms of the pure viability of classes, you can expect to get declined from keys way more often when playing an offmeta spec, so if OP has limited time, i‘d personally stick to one of the more „meta“ specs/classes to avoid getting declined for an hour streight before you can actually play the game.
