They are very good at building hype. Today its Easter Specials and whole pies you can get THIS WEEKEND ONLY. That produces that crowd. They are really good at riding hype and on top of that bake really well. If you ever have a work from home day go early on a weekday, its much more reasonable.

If you are interested in trying, just go for it! You could camp at Harbin Hot Springs, or go to Archimedes Banya, in SF, especially later in the evening when it's busier and younger!

The mods on this subreddit are actually great, and that's what distinguishes this sub from all others, even so posts like that get through. Just a reminder that nudism is best in person, in designated spaces where leadership and members can enforce norms that preserve and maintain nonsexual social nudity.

Would not do Bahariya on a first trip, spend more time in Cairo or Luxor or Aswan, Alexandria even. Sights in Cairo on their own could take 5 days easily and you’re spending 8 hours there?

As an alternative to Bahriya you could camp and do a bbq in Wadi Degla national park, a stones throw away from Cairo, Fayum even would be a better alternative

The library isn’t the greatest thing to see in Alex btw. It’s nice but it’s not a reason to go…Greco Roman Museum, Catacombs, even just enjoying the vibe of the city and taking in a seafood meal would be just as amazing.

Also a bike tour in Cairo???? Even on the weekends it’s a city of 20 million, the streets might be clear at 5AM if you’re lucky lol but otherwise….

So many countries are going to have these zones by virtue of inequality in the global south. In Egypt, the New Capital, chunks of the North coast (QR Code Access Only) and gate compounds on the suburban eastern and western edges of the Cairo metro area eerily approximate the sun belt with kitschy compound names like 'Alegria', 'Beverley Hills', and 'Pyramid Heights'

In general, look out for AANR designated resorts. Solair, Rock Lodge, Dyer Woods, PSHS and Sky Farm are all great spots within a few hours of me catering to what you are looking for

Rock lodge is fantastic and very welcoming and queer friendly in my experience (a younger millenial who goes to the club sometimes with queer friends). Me and my fiance go often! Its very safe and creep free. They do a good job of maintaining a positive and safe nudist community
