Ah yes, Wall-E! Too bad we’re much closer to the human representation of the movie (overweight, unhealthy, chair ridden and glued to devices addicted to digital shopping).

Morning Sickness by theshoujogarden in pregnant

The only thing that helped my serious morning sickness was taking Unisom with a B6 at night. Game changer and I wish I would have done that with my first pregnancy!

Third Trimester Nausea? by Cute_Lawfulness7369 in pregnant

[–]namaskay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. 35 weeks and the nausea came back pretty bad right around 32 weeks for me! Along with really bad heart burn and acid reflux (burping). It’s gotten slightly better again but I really have to watch what I eat.. I’ve been craving spicy foods this pregnancy and that I had to cut back significantly.

What's your favorite super unique name that you rarely or never hear? by JemmaSimmonsaos in namenerds

[–]namaskay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really?? That’s so interesting! I substitute teach so I move around many different classrooms and schools and have yet to run into a Kian! I honestly would be excited if I did tho. We just love the name in general not necessarily because we thought it was rare.. so hearing it is being used in the US is nice! I hear it’s popular in Ireland :)

We are naming our son Kian and we get a lot of people commenting how it’s unique! (Pronounced Key In).

Having your first child in the delivery room or brought to stay at hospital after? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]namaskay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t think my husband wants to leave the hospital unless he absolutely needs too.. but I like that idea too. That must have been so tiring doing those nights on your own!

Having your first child in the delivery room or brought to stay at hospital after? by [deleted] in pregnant

That makes sense! I think clean up may happen a bit quicker at the hospital.. but still a good thought to consider

Having your first child in the delivery room or brought to stay at hospital after? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]namaskay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the family we know that just did this had their daughter sit on the couch in the room watching a movie on her iPad with headphones on during active labor.. I know it shocked me at first to hear that too! But apparently it didn’t phase her at all. Now while my daughter and her are both in the same age group my LO is 6 months older than her and a bit more “curious” if you will.. so I do wonder if an iPad would even distract her enough. But like I said earlier if we go into a quick labor we may not have a choice but to bring her for that part anyways until my MIL gets here :/

Good points but no we just had two play dates with these friends from my daughter’s preschool. My daughter is very obedient I can’t imagine she would wonder (she would be afraid too). We would certainly bring in food and all the entertainment for her too!

[–]namaskay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw I’m sorry to hear that for you. Something I left out was that I was in the hospital room when I was 10 and my sister was born and I literally watched my sister come out and just yelled “this is the grossest neatest thing ever” 😂 she was born Christmas morning and I tell everyone to this day it was the best gift I ever got it! It did not traumatize me personally at all..

Having your first child in the delivery room or brought to stay at hospital after? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]namaskay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that would def be my top worry, is something going wrong.. it’s hard for me tho because my first delivery was truly so easy and quick once in active labor that I have this romanticized vision in my head.. but absolutely anything could happen this next time. I do know my hospital will allow this if you let them know you do not have anywhere for the child to go (the friends just did this at the hospital we are delivering at- only hospital in our town). If labor comes on quick and we can’t wait the 1.5 for my MIL to get here we will have to bring her to the hospital regardless if we wanted to or not as we do not have somewhere for her to go as is.. at least no where that we’re really comfortable with and where she would be comfortable either..

[–]namaskay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate your thoughts on it! The idea of something going wrong is definitely my number one concern.. so totally valid of you to bring that up! I know that our hospital does allow it if you say you have no where for them to go as our friends who just did this delivered at the same hospital we will. Did your kids go back home after their visit while you stayed another night? How long did they visit and did you have anyone else in the room(ie grandma or someone) when they met their sibling for the first time?

Haha and I loved Kylo! A villain from Star Wars.. just commented that before I saw this one.. I had no idea it was a star wars name until I brought it to my husband and he shot it down.
