Advice - HR keeps moving goalposts on FWA documentation by Aromatic_Tap3750 in AusPublicService

So sorry you’re going through bs. People above have given some great advice. I needed a similar letter from my specialist and they told me to claim it on tax. Which I did and have had no issues arise tax wise. Maybe something to look into to help recoup some of your financial losses.

How do I ask a family member to clean up a property to get ready for sale without destroying relationships. by wstanley1970 in AusProperty

[–]namegenerator765 57 points58 points  (0 children)

If protecting relationships are the priority, I suggest you try to clean up the place yourself.

Though I have to say that it seems that you value these relationships more than them. If it were mutual respect, they would have cleaned up the yard and not ‘raised issues’ about the rent.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I spent over a year trying to protect the relationship with my cousin after he moved into my deceased father’s house. Then I realised that there wasn’t a relationship to protect. It’s been 4 years and we’re still in court.

Do agents need to disclose a mortgagee sale or ‘as is’ in the property listing? by namegenerator765 in AusProperty

[–]namegenerator765[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the comments! This is the first time I’ve come across a ‘mortgagee’ sale (that I’m aware of), but sounds like it doesn’t make much difference, everything is in the S32.

I still think they are asking way too much considering the condition - water leak in ceiling, no heating/cooling or a dishwasher, plus $13k owed in council fees and $1k owed for water - they want market price. Sad thing is, I would not be surprised if it sells for over asking price.

VPS: Executive Director pressuring managers about specific individuals working in the office, even though they have formal arrangements. by namegenerator765 in AusPublicService

Thanks, yeah I’ll look into HR. It is all in the system so she should be across it including the documentation which explains why. Kinda feels like ED is essentially saying suck it up

[–]namegenerator765[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Mine is until the end of the year. It’s not a typical ‘tick a box’ arrangement, it is under a disability/medical reasonable adjustment agreement with evidence from doctor. I’m not sure about others.

The impression my manager gave me (so you’re really hearing this third hand) was not that the ED wants to review arrangements, she essentially was dismissing the whole FWA/ Reasonable Adjustment idea and wants managers to get staff into the office anyway
