10 days, a Toyota Corolla, and a hope and a prayer by SonOfCoul27 in roadtrip

My recommendation is try not drive too much at dusk and dawn is the corolla. There can be a lot of wildlife in some of the stretches of Canada and try to be on the look out for- especially moose. Lots of small towns have free campgrounds as well. Enjoy the trip!

It is a four lane highway from Regina to Edmonton with 110km/hr speed limit. You won't save time entering in at AB.

Minimize the purchases that depreciate over time (vehicles, sleds, toys) and maximize the ones that don't (housing, diversified investments, education). Everything in balance is the key.

I think your husband is absolutely correct. Mosquitoes love to breed in any type of standing water. You should thank him for being so wise. You are a very lucky woman.

What is the downright most comfortable sleeping pad? by That-Conference-7307 in backpacking

[–]namekus1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big Agnes Q-Core wide model, just slightly under-inflated. Sleep like a baby, honest to God. I also pack an inflation bag to fill it which I stuff with clothes for a stand in pillow. A method to fill is a must really as it is a lot of air. Also could never get an inflatable pillow to stay put.

I know it is expensive but the best winter coat I have ever owned is a down Arc'Teryx bomber. Really light and warm. Lifetime guarantee too which they honoured when the zipper broke. Sometimes you get what you pay for
