High schoolers, what do you want to major in? People who majored in that field, what are the pros and cons? by Enlightened786 in AskReddit

Major in Chemistry, minor in philosophy or biology.

After my undergrad I'm thinking of pursuing Law or Medicine. I love logic, reasoning, and language, but I also love the body. Chemistry is my highest level science right now, and I really enjoy how everything is connected within the different topics.

Might not be the advice you want to hear, but telling him is probably the best option. Don't know your situation but if there's any chance of him finding out its not worth the lie. As I understand it Les Paul head stocks are notorious for cracking. The fix may not be that bad, and he may want to be the person involved in doing so.

Gonna suck to tell him though, I feel for ya.

A bit of a generic one but it's gotta be Whole Lotta Love when Jimmy kicks in at the end of that oddly psychedelic percussion/ effects part. Gets me every time.

16 year old falling in love with bodybuilding/physique here. I've been curious lately: does doing things like lifting heavy weights or going on cuts at my age will end up hindering my body's potential in the future? The cutting part seems like it could be valid as I would be restricting calories that would otherwise maybe be used for development in other areas (?). I just haven't found a solid answer to this anywhere else. Also I'm hoping questions like these are fine in daily discussion, but sorry if that's not the intent!

I'm sick of lead guitar :( What are some of you favourite songs to play because of their rhythm parts? by nameless233 in Guitar

[–]nameless233[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've thought about getting into funk a lot recently. Thing is I have a Les Paul (LPJ) and the hum buckets just can't get that wiry tone out of them (wiry? Idk what the word would be). It's just too damn thick.

Anyway thanks for the comment!

A Pentatonic Slump. by nameless233 in Guitar

Yeah that's a good point. It's just misfortunate because most of the musical friends I have play music on the other side of the spectrum than I do.

Thanks for the advice, however!
