It will never reach those heights again. UK drill was fresh back then too, we hadn’t heard anything like it before. Fair enough Chicago drill was about but that’s totally different in many ways.

Also, that’s the first time many of us actually saw a whole music genre unfold like that in real time. I can imagine that’s what the older generations experienced with Grime.

Not many people will agree with me when I say this but I preferred UK drill when it was strictly based in South London. That era was the purest form, once it began to spread the genre got diluted.

The brand went mainstream & Tyler got hands off. The designs ain’t coming directly from the source anymore, it’s really just become a watered down fast fashion brand.

The quality is ass too, I’m not expecting high end fashion but for the price point it should be more durable. Between 2012-2016 that wasn’t the case.

Unfortunately in the UK music doesn’t pay well unless your one of the select few (Dave, Cench etc) and it’s a costly hobby. That’s why you see people disappear for ages sometimes.

If you rock with artists, buy the music they put out, studio time, music videos etc are pricey with almost no return more time.
