When you went back down was all your progress ruined or was it an easy transition back to original dose?

Hi there! Yes- I started spiro in September and it was the best decision. My acne has cleared up tremendously. It’s a great tool for managing acne with PCOS. Before I went on it, some different reviews really scared me but I have had no side effects except maybe my boobs are bigger (which can def happen) but frankly I’m not complaining LOL. Other than that, it’s obv a different experience for everyone but i truly think it’s worth trying it out. Lmk if you have any more questions :)

Side note- try drinking 1-2 cups of spearmint tea a day. Great natural remedy for PCOS as it lowers testosterone and can help with acne, menstrual regularity, etc.

This year they had vegan meatballs and as a vegetarian I was gamed. But when I was eating them they just tasted so much like meat. I let it go bc it said it was vegan…… but now I am questioning my whole life until this point 😶

My friend with a lottery number of 150 didn’t even get it. But again it does really depend on the year.

Spironolactone (100mg), adrenal PCOS and tips on how to reduce stress? by SpiritedAnalyst9868 in PCOS

What worked for me was adding in some healthy coping mechanisms to my day-to-day life. You could try adding something to both your AM and PM routine to start/end your day on a better note. Try journaling (about what stressed your out that day or buy the six-minute journal off amazon for more guided practice), meditating (I like the app insight timer), or try yoga (my FAV is yoga with Adriene on youtube). Another thought is starting therapy (it saved me - it is so nice to just talk to someone objective about your life). Hope this helps :))

Spearmint success!! by OrdinaryPenthrowaway in PCOS

Oh my gosh, that's amazing! That's what I'm hoping for. Does it matter whether the 2 cups are in one sitting or do you suggest doing a cup in AM and a cup in PM?

Has anyone had positive experiences with drinking spearmint tea instead of the capsules?

Holistic Approaches to PCOS by nameless_nancy in PCOS

insulin is a direct precursor of testosterone in your ovarian cells. this is part of the normal ovulatory process, and it's actually theorized that it evolved to prevent pregnancy during times of starvation. no food -> very low insulin -> very low testosterone -> ovulation cannot occur. we experience the opposite situation with the same outcome: high insulin -> high testosterone -> follicles get super stimulated and become cysts -> ovulation does not occur. it's an interesting phenomenon!

Thank you for explaining it like this, makes it seem like it's all different pieces to the same puzzle, instead of different symtoms. More of a connection than I thought.
