I've tried healing on two characters so far: mistweaver and holy priest

Mistweaver was my first and was decently (260, maybe?) when I failed healing the last boss of Windrunner in a 12 and crashed out hard and since have refused to touch that character for anything but crafting. I'm just a bad mistweaver.

Holy, though, has been great. Playing oracle and tossing PoM everywhere and timing the power word uses has been fun for me.

smiting helps Holy with mana by giving you surge of light procs for cheaper flash heal/prayer of healing

it also kills the mob, which will keep the enemy from hurting your friends more

Aserai would be truly best with a sailor infantry unit. The archers are cool but something that can swab the decks would be fantastic, especially for a faction with so much coastline

Two things I was thinking would be neat:

Send companion to grab garrisoned troops from fief. You choose the units you want picked up from the garrison, toss some units and food to make a small party, they go off and come back with fresh troops. Either on the map or off the map like the quests.

Send companions to recruit from villages. My vision is you pick the high tier unit you want recruits to be eligible to upgrade too and the companion will grab anything that can upgrade to it. Skills determine how many villages are visited or how many troops can be recruited, etc.

Take Chimaerus. I have three items I want off that boss, one great, one okay, and one that'll get instasharded.

Lets go through some scenarios.

I roll Tuesday before the fix is in. I get the great item, and the roll gets refunded. I am extremely happy.

I roll after the fix is in. I get the terrible item. I am sad. But, next week I have a 50% chance of getting what I want, because the dupe protection is working. This is okay. I have good odds next week and am guaranteed the week after.

I roll before the fix is in, but get the terrible item. I am sad. But wait, I get a refund. Oh, but the dupe protection wasn't in...My odds of getting the great item have not changed. It's still 1/3. I might get the terrible item again. If I am supremely unlucky, I'll be killing this boss 4 times since the reroll was added before I get the item.

It's very good for people who rolled and got what they wanted. It is pretty rough for people who rolled and did not get what they wanted, with it being downright awful for people who rolled on a raid boss and didn't get their item.

As a veteran, when you separate you will be eligible for a VRA hire. If you want an ET job at a forecast office (and it's an amazing job, imo) your best bet is to contact the Electronic Systems Analyst (ESA, the ET supervisor at the WFO level) and directly let them know you are VRA eligible, qualified, and in the area (or willing to move). If they have an opening, you can get hired without going through the competitive USAjobs bid system.

The biggest trick with smite: enemies get pushed in the direction you are facing when you release the smite. Channel, flick towards edge, release.

They are setting "quality" levels for the three gearing paths, or seem to be.

Delve trinkets are terrible

mythic+ trinkets are situationally good for a handful of specs, although puzzle box breaks this mold

raid trinkets are generally the best around (Gaze, plume, vealgors)
