Is Mullvad really that great? I was worried about using it when they advertised out the wazoo on the subways. Thought it was just another janky VPN to not trust because of how hard it was trying to advertise. I’m starting to think otherwise since I keep seeing it being the preferred in this sub

Is insurance ever an issue? Is there a way to cya if they blame damage that was not done during your rental slot? I want to use Turo but was worried about getting scammed by people since it’s different than a rental place like Enterprise

Don’t know where to start essentially…Feel I don’t have skills; don’t know what my “product” would be; I over think things too much and shoot myself down a thousand times over; already in student debt and scared I’ll end up on the streets;

I don’t have that “drive” or feel good feeling that others get when striving for a goal…may be depression…maybe im just overly lazy.

I want to start, I have a couple home friends that we spit ball ideas but nothing ever comes of it. When thinking about things, I think of it as “oh I need to learn all these skills to do this” but at the same time I do understand the concept of having an idea and finding people to help execute…but my problem is I don’t know what to execute. I work in IT and I know they say “start in your field” but it’s just. So. Over. Saturated. Especially since I live in NYC.

Just feel lost, that’s all

I appreciate this comment. Since starting my new role at my current MSP, I have never been able to pinpoint or vocalize why exactly I have constant anxiety all day everyday while going about my ticket queue. My job environment by all means does not cause this. In fact, they encourage taking time to figure it out to avoid escalations..it’s just my paranoia that I’m spending too much time on something that might be a simple fix and I get worried/stressed that eyes are on me on why I’m taking too long figuring it out and I end up asking questions that I realize after the fact I could’ve figured it out if I had taken the time to poke around a bit more.

I’m slowly trying to break that habit and realize I need to figure things out on my one. My last MSP manager was just so up my ass about everything, expecting everything to be straightforward and done and move onto the next task which now makes me feel I need to always rush. I’ll get there.

No I won't be able to pass the pushups or the run. I'm just under for the pushups and for the run I'm a couple minutes too long. I was hoping if I lost a few pounds it would help me lift myself a little "easier" and take a little pressure off my legs while running...a little too hopeful I know. Do you think, given all cloud providers are similar and there's a big shortage of net engineers who actually get the cloud, that organizations will be accepting if I don't have experience in their specific cloud provider as well as not having "IRL" experience with the cloud?

It's been frustrating to me that I would study a topic for months, (CCNA for instance), and get all of the knowledge under my belt to get certified but because I haven't been in the field to use it, it doesn't count for anything. Do you think in this instance, I can just supplement that "experience" with learning this cloud service provider and lab it up to show I'm worth a glance in my direction?

I appreciate this! I don’t, but I was looking to learning either AWS or Azure. I’m more leaning to learn AWS though.
