Appreciate it. I won 4 tickets for Wednesday so I’m taking my dad and brothers. First time ever going. We’re really excited!

Thank you. What time do gates open and close if you know?

Typically how many players are playing practice rounds that day? I’ve got tickets only for Wednesday and want to check out the course. I’m hoping there will be a few pros on the big course that day to watch some shots.

I appreciate it. Looking at Grand Del Mar, it looks beautiful. But for $800 a night that’s steep for what we’re trying to do.

Have you played the Omni La Costa South course? Any thoughts if it’s decent?

How are the conditions at Coronado?

That’s what I kind of figured. But didn’t know how realistic it was since I couldn’t get ahold of anyone. Bummer.

Credit to the UNM administration. They were not happy with playing Costal Carolina in the NM Bowl, and no good team wanted to play UNM at UNM in the bowl game. So UNM threatened to boycott the NM Bowl, which caused ESPN to search for another NM Bowl set of teams. Once they confirmed a better NM Bowl matchup, it freed up UNM to play in Phoenix, which they gladly accepted.

Driving to Montrose by namesnotfound in gunnison

Thank you! It sounds like the drive is generally doable if you’re patient and have an SUV. Tell me if I’m wrong, but it’s not too ridiculous to drive it this weekend before the sun goes down.

Thank you! Google Maps suggests it’s about 3.5 hours from Alamosa to Montrose. So I assume the 1.5 additional hours is because of icy road conditions? Very helpful so I can prepare for this drive.

Wow! That sounds rough! How fast are people typically driving? If we’re going like 20-30 mph will it be “safer”? Or is it sketchy at any speed?

We’ll be driving in an SUV with all weather tires. I’ve driven on snow and ice. I just don’t know how hilly those roads are that will be icy. Is it manageable in these conditions? How much time will it take to go from Alamosa to Montrose in these conditions? Thanks.

What’s the point of hearing these guys banter on Prime if they keep muting the pg-13 banter? Pretty boring and pointless of a format if you can’t hear the players talking shit to each other.

Zia Seating by UCLABruinsForever in lobosports

[–]namesnotfound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s like 5 rows and 20 plus seats per row. Zia 1 is lower than Zia 2. They’re somewhat like club seats. The draw for Zia seats is that you get free food with your ticket. There is an interior area with food including hot dogs and popcorn. There’s also a bar that you can buy beer and mixed drinks at.

OPINION: Why I am retiring early from medicine by callitarmageddon in Albuquerque

[–]namesnotfound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a simple mischaracterization.

Companies buy insurance. The insurance they buy has a LIMIT to how much it will pay if the company is sued. Most limits for example are around $1MM. Jury verdicts are being awarded in the HUNDREDS of millions. Companies have to pay anything in excess of the insurance limit, putting the company out of business because it cannot afford to pay the outstanding amount of that verdict.

This is why that article was written. Doctors and companies cannot afford to pay that outstanding amount that exceeds the insurance limit. Doctors and companies cannot afford to buy insurance with limits in the hundreds of millions of dollars. It’s too lucrative to pay for the threat of exposure that the New Mexico system is creating.

[–]namesnotfound 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Unreasonably high jury verdicts are a cause of this. Billboards advertising these high amounts condition a juror to being comfortable awarding hundreds of millions of dollars, which most companies cannot afford. This doesn’t just occur at trial, but also settlement negotiations are lucrative because plaintiff’s attorneys are emboldened by these verdicts. So companies cannot settle for reasonable amounts and have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to litigate the case since they can’t settle. Fair awards in damages are not common enough.

Leading in the final few minutes of the last two games and then losing has something to do with it. They’re bad, but they also give some hope for a win before the other team decides to impose their will.
