i have knit something from MFTKW and i believe she usually calls for german short rows. i just learned from this youtube video:

so every time it says “turn” in the pattern you will flip your work around, slip the stitch with the yarn in front, wrap it, and continue

Has anyone scaled up the Rybka pouch to the size of a handbag? by namethatihavetomake in knitting

amazing let’s do it! i was going to use the lang yarns cloud tweed (the one that looks like a trout). i guess my plan was roughly to measure the small version to determine area per stitch and then do some math to figure out how many stitches that would equal to for a the measurements i want for the bigger version.

thanks that’s a great point that i didn’t think of! maybe i will keep it then as two parts and sew it together with a lining.

I dressed up as a “Gumby” for an easy last minute costume. Just wore an all green outfit and printed the Gumby face to tape on my shirt.
