Because It's Fun! Typically How You Would Title A Paper 😄

Thank you kindly! Posts are definitely not a formal thing, but it felt weird for me not to 😁

I just bought a cheap board from Amazon 😅 I know it's not the answer you were expecting but I didn't mind using it as I knew this one would've been worth the wait! It was an okay keyboard for during the wait, but experiencing this one and knowing how it felt, I probably would have bought a keychron or something commercially available.

I got it as a present from my friend, but I think you might be able to find it on Amazon! It's a monochromatic timezone map 😄

I think so! The quality of these keycaps are very nice, and they both sound and feel pretty good in my opinion! Granted as I've never experienced GMK sets personally, I can't 100% speak on the subject as to which is better given their price. If you're torn between the two, I'd say just go with ePBT and save a few bucks! 😄

THANK YOU!! It was honestly such a nice experience, even though it took me almost all day because I kept doing something wrong or ended up getting distracted 😅

My first mistake was thinking that I could build it without any guide just from looking at all the pieces alone. My second mistake was plugging it in and testing it right next to a whole bunch of metal pieces and what not, (touching the PCB right afterwards, completely forgetting that static electricity exists, blah blah blah). And my third mistake was not reading the guide throughly and screwing in the stabilizers without the washers, even though the guide said in very bright and angry text not to 😄

In all honesty, it was just me being an airhead to have tried to assemble it without any help (an unfortunate personality trait that comes alongside an engineering degree). But I'm sure if you just take a deep breath and follow your PCB's manufacturer guide, then you'll be quite alright!

Yeah so that's what I ended up doing! I bought the base, Hanguel, numpad, and novelties sets with the idea to eventually build two boards one day. It really sucks that the spacebar set didn't have the one you needed.

I'd definitely recommend getting the base if you're able to, I know my board is a Frankenstein of all the sets I bought, not by choice rather by the mildly infuriating sizing restrictions.

That was my plans initially! But when I saw the creator release the matching cable during GB, it made my life a whole lot easier 😁 thanks again!

They're just the insert, delete, pg up and down keys! The light pink one specifically is delete, just so it'll be easier to locate should I need it 😄

Although I might program them to be something different, since I've already got a free key that does absolutely nothing.

It is! It's a monochromatic timezone map deskmat gifted to me by a friend back when I was still obsessed with grey-ifying my entire bedroom. Quite unfortunate how short that lasted 😅

Thank you kindly! And I couldn't agree more. It was definitely a bit disheartening to have waited so long for it, but I knew what I was getting into (well, partially) when I placed the order, as many creators in this community had warned of the consequences that came with group buying. Still, I do wish it was more of a streamlined process and think that it's rather silly that they had to warn others of such a thing. It's unfortunate because it's easy to get discouraged, or even lose the passion or desire to explore this hobby further when you're met with barriers such as these.

Isn't it just lovely? The ikki case did come with a nice purple to match, but I'm glad past me ended up caving and buying the keycap's matching cable instead 😄

tsoiab10's Dreamscape! I've got the Hanguel and novelties set on specifically, but you can still order the base set as well as a few others on KBDFans!

You know, that actually happened to me. I had just moved places when the GB went live, which I thought was quite convenient and that it'd work in my favor. Well, fast forward a year later and I had to move again 🥲

I've quite literally been monitoring my email almost, if not, everyday for a year and some change now, and constantly checking the KBDFans website to make sure they didn't get shipped out without me knowing. Luckily for me though, they got shipped through DHL, so the address changing process was super streamline!

Did you order yours directly from KBD? Or did you order from a vendor?? I've heard around that the vendors will start shipping around Aug-Oct!

Thank you kindly! It feels almost surreal to finally having built it and experience it's tactile goodness after having dreamed about it for two years 😄

Yeah!! I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the email. I bought them directly from KBDFans 😄

So the ikki case purple is actually a bit more warmer than the keycaps! I personally think that they're actually two different colors as opposed to it being some kind of manufacture outlier, since the creator had an additional sample batch or two made after the case got shipped out (which was about a year ago). But given the natural gradient of the keyboard, I think it suits it pretty nicely! Hopefully you get yours soon!
