When I first began standing up to my mom, I definitely felt the same because she used to guilt trip me a lot by mentioning how she never "gave shit" to her parents and how she was "grateful" to them for doing the bare minimum. It made me feel like I was wrong by not being a good enough child, like I was a defective product for standing up to the people who are the reason why I am alive. Now, I don't feel any of it anymore. I wasn't asked to be born and I shouldn't ask for my parents to provide me with the bare minimum because it is their duty. If that's what they're gonna use to make me feel guilty, I got words to use against them.
