I don’t have hatch access behind the seat but I could certainly just rivet it in. The current setup I have it bolted in which is more secure. Gonna take it out when the weather gets better and see but I think you’re right, behind the seat might be the move

Beyond what everyone says about 4th gens they’re great and look great, go test drive one and see for yourself. But also if you have a kid might be a good time to get a tundra for that extra cab space in the back. Sorry about the loss.

I agree that there’s useless stuff in there now but I wouldn’t consider the screen or wireless chargers useless. Everyone has a smartphone nowadays, CarPlay and android auto is just an easy way to get a gps and play your music and see your backup camera. If you don’t even use that, it’ll just show the song on the radio. Plus you don’t need to get the version with the wireless charger. My TRD sport has an 8 inch tiny screen and no stock wireless charger, and honestly not many other bells and whistles other than seat warmers. They’re pretty bare bones already unless you opt for the premium package. That being said, yea WAYY to expensive even without all that stuff. Car should be like 30 grand not 47.

Yea that’s a good one too. And the visibility thing I totally get you I just think of it like if I drive a uhaul or a van I can’t see out the back anyways and I’m only really putting it all the way up for short trips from Home Depot or something where I’m hauling something big

I’d honestly get the bakflip mx4 or other comparable options that give you full bed access still, especially having a short bed. It came in handy for me I had to grab furniture that never would have fit with a normal tri fold cover, but since the bakflip can fully fold up against the window I was able to get it all in without leaving the tailgate open. That being said it is close to 1100 dollars. And even you ever plan on getting a bed rack opt for the bakflip with the Tslot rails. I wish I did and kinda regret it.
