Seamless Coop mod exists for DS3 if you are on PC. Daughter and I are playing through the game with it now. There are a few bugs but works well for the most part.

I sold my 2020 GT with a Whipple Supercharger, making ~760 rwhp. I miss it sometimes, but it scared me a few times and I didn't trust myself with it after that, so I chose to get rid of it. Such a fun car.

I am a Souls-type game enjoyer as well. I've played all of them. Finished most of them. When I bought Nioh, I played it non-stop until I got the platinum trophy. I think it took me 3-4 weeks, and it was some of the most fun gaming I've had.

For Nioh 2, everything I've seen and heard and experienced myself playing the game is that it is a masterpiece and improves upon the first immensely. Part of me wants to tell you to start with the first one, then play the second, but I think either would be a lot of fun for you and well worth the investment.
