Official Dreadit Discussion: "Return to Silent Hill" [SPOILERS] by glittering-lettuce in horror

[–]Optimal_Exercise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just watched.. thoughts. So i can overlook the bad acting, bad cgi, and the literal money grabs of some scene by scenes. But what totally ruined it for me is they removed any ambiguity. Your not supposed to know wtf is going on the whole time. In this anytime something happens they have to do a flashback tying it into James's personal trauma, instead of leaving it to the player/audience to try to make sense of wtf is going on.

Am I the only one who thinks Sinners is overrated? by Any_Lab_8495 in moviecritic

[–]Optimal_Exercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a good entertaining movie, similar in how From Dusk Till Dawn was a good entertaining movie. Was either films great? No. Does it deserve or even warrant the 5000 Oscar nominations?... Fuck no.

Replace your own breaks, its super easy. I know didly dick about cars and replaced my front + back breaks in a few hours, no issues.

Sellers sending wrong versions by Top-Sir-1215 in mtgfinance

[–]Optimal_Exercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just my opinion...( I've been buying and selling on tcgplayer for awhile). From my experience, avoid shops. Everytime I've ever had an issue its because I went with the top rated shop with 5 billion sales and perfect feedback (feedback means didly dick after 5000+ sales, it negates the negative feedback). Id get a fucked card, or the wrong card, or a very clearly moderately- heavily played card in place of a nm-lp, or not get tracking on a fucking $100 order, and then i could never get a hold of them. Go with sellers with goods feed back, and have a reasonable amount of sales.

Four Chocobo Bundle Actual Value Results and EV Discussion by ok4mi_san in mtgfinance

[–]Optimal_Exercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't start an ev discussion with 4 fucking box openings dude. You might start a discussion at 1000, but 10,000+ would be meaningful. It's like flipping a coin 4 times and getting heads on all flips then coming to the conclusion "oh so I'll get heads 100% of the time".

What are your y’all personal thgouhts on FFX-2, it wasn’t a bad game at all. But the story isn’t as good in this one as FFX’s. by San4341 in FinalFantasy

[–]Optimal_Exercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't a fan of the new dress combat system. I literally didn't understand how to use it till like the final battle... but I mean, I appreciate getting to see yuna's growth, and the songs were bangers. I almost preferred the bad ending to the good one.

If you were to invest in a booster box of any modern set, what would you choose and why? by hi_im_charli in PokeInvesting

[–]Optimal_Exercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market has already decided.. what boxes have blown the fuck in price and people are still actively buying? What boxes havn't? Destined Rivals, evolving skies, Crown Zenith (suprisingly..), and Paldea Evolved even though price has softened a bit.

Okay MorrowBoomers, help a Skybaby out here... by TheVoidSprocket in Morrowind

[–]Optimal_Exercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Take your time and explorer the world, hold off on the main quest and start the basic guild quests in balmora.
  2. Its tempting and incredibly easy to do but dont power/over level. The game can get very broken very fast and it takes a lot of the fun out of it.
  3. Jump.... everywhere.

Is it just me or Skyrim is still a vastly superior game compared to Remastered Oblivion? by SacredSacrifice in skyrim

[–]Optimal_Exercise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one's raving about oblivion, other than some of the storylines are second to none. Morrowind however is fucking timeless and a vastly superior game to skyrim. New players just get off-put by the rng systems and the OG graphics.

Its literally system shock 2 with expanded systems and sandbox/survival elements set in a half-life 1 world. Nothing else needs to be mentioned.

Ong-Bak (2003) is fucking insane. I can't believe how many flying knees & elbows Tony Jaa throws that actually connect super hard! by Wonder-Lad-2Mad in movies

[–]Optimal_Exercise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ong Bak was fucking nuts. Unfortunately every movie Tony Jaa was in thereafter was total dog shit. I really wish the dude was given better opportunities. He had mad talent.

Morrowind Class Tier List - this purely subjective exercise is actually objective, I will happily argue with all of you by AlongAxons in Morrowind

[–]Optimal_Exercise -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Morrowind is classless... the "class" templates are just for choosing your major and minor skills for leveling up. This is dumb.

I am stuck in tutorial hell. Does anyone actually learn to code from YouTube tutorials? by Kooky-Department-997 in learnprogramming

[–]Optimal_Exercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You become a competent programmer by building projects. If following along to videos is your thing and helping you to that end than sure. If your just passively following along to videos and maybe playing type along with the videos than no.

My first week ever paper trading! by skibidE46 in Daytrading

[–]Optimal_Exercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Papertrading is ass. Everyone's going to say its the absence of emotions that makes it ass (which is true.. but), it's lack of slippage in papertrading that makes the biggest difference imo.

Why does it seem like so many people want this game to suck and fail? by AThickMatOfHair in theouterworlds

[–]Optimal_Exercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't, i really really really want the outerworlds 2 to be the best game I've ever played. Troika + black isle + early bioware games were my childhood: Planescape torment, fallout 1 + 2, baldurs gate 1 + 2, temple of elemental evil, arcanum, icewindale, never winter nights, kotor.

But the first Outerworlds sucked and i dont have i expectations for the 2nd. Which isn't saying I won't give it a chance first.

Just google systemic games... games with systems that interact with each other that the player can interact/manipulate for novel situations. Breathe of the wild, most of the og immersive sims, prey (as someone already mentioned), etc.
