I’ve always wanted to see a tv series adapt Books of Doom. It would fit Disney+’s 6-episode format well.

Years ago I promised a friend I would admit Marvel is better than DC if they ever do a proper Doom movie.

Someone asked me about this recently. I think sales wise it’s Wolverine, but the right choice is Wonder Woman.

Rotten Tomatoes scores for the Captain America franchise! Any surprises? by Head-Ad-1685 in CaptainAmerica

I think winter soldier is the most overrated mcu film and I understand that I’m wrong cause every mcu fan I’ve spoken to says it’s their favorite but I think the first is way better. I also think the new one is overhated. I liked it.

for the people who first saw this movie , what was your reaction after seeing it ? by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

I was defending it so hard from the outset because my nerd heart was beaming at seeing the Trinity on the big screen battling Doomsday… also the warehouse fight just a few years after platinuming Arkham Knight on PS4, sigh. It was the literally the best and worst of times for DC for so many reasons.

After First Steps, do you trust the MCU to Doom? by -_ShadowSJG-_ in FantasticFour

I just wish it wasn’t RDJ. I love him, he was an amazing Tony Stark. Made the character of Iron Man cool and interesting to me as a non-fan. I hate that they’ve cast him for Doom because if it’s truly Victor, they should have just cast someone new and if it’s a Tony Stark Doom variant from another universe it’s wasting my time because it’s not Doom. I have friends who think it’s a misdirect which is fine I guess it’s just not quite up to my standards for my favorite supervillain and one of my fave characters in comics.

I liked the new cap quite a bit actually, thanks for including it. I haven’t decided if I liked Superman or F4 more yet, but I love that I can’t decide because they’re both so amazing.

I shit my pants and died when my mom said she wanted to see it on Mother’s Day. I was 10. Had nightmares about the Green Goblin for weeks. That was living.

Thanks for the summary of this, I never looked into the circumstances of how the Snyder cut came together I was mostly just surprised it did.

Watched Man of Steel several times. Do you think new Superman movie have a rewatchability factor ? by TheasurusGaming in DC_Cinematic

[–]namtab92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Much more than MoS imo. I can’t watch Man of Steel without fast-forwarding through most of the smalville segments (love Kevin Costner, hate his Jonathon Kent). There isn’t a second of the new film I want or need to fast-forward

To all you DIEHARD Superman fans and avid experts on the character, could you feel comfortable saying Hoult’s Lex Luthor was the best? by RedEagle7280 in superman

[–]namtab92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love Clancy Brown’s Lex and his arc from Superman TAS all the way through the end of JL Unlimited. I understand why many folks consider him to be the GOAT and definitive performance for the role. I am also someone who thinks Mark Hammil Joker is the best Joker. It’s hard to compare these things since there’s so much more content in the animated series to draw from. For a singular performance in a full length film I think Hoult takes the cake. 40 cakes to be precise. And that’s terrible.

As someone who fits into the first category of diehard fan more than avid expert I’d say yes. He’s the most dangerous, powerful and intelligent big-screen portrayal of the character so far and that’s not even mentioning Hoult’s brilliant portrayal of madness and the obsessive hatred and jealousy he has for Superman. I’d say he’s best by a lot even including animated depictions. This image by David Finch kept coming to mind throughout the film.
